  1. Well, Skye if ur planning to use a stick for ara, you'll need to really get down the directionals. Learning j4b the first time was still pretty hard for me to do after using a stick for 8 months on GG.
  2. Maybe we should build a loudspeaker that reaches daisuke, maybe that will be loud enough but seriously, a petition would probably be the best way if he wants to be heard by the fans.   7. Yea, dive loop was dang helpful in the last 3, my bad. Quite honestly, i forgot the dive cancel ones. My bad, I remember ppl bursting out of that crap so much now. I must've forgotten because of my own failures in trying to replicate that dive cancel .
  8. I also wanna kno too Skye. I mean, ara has much less options than haku and both can deal situational 1 kill combos, yet he is somehow higher >.> . I thought ara would still have a huge problem cursing the opponent as I havn't seen any new 100% curse aside from air grabs, ch 6b, and j6d > 3C> super>... The last two of which I've almost never even seen in almost all the ara vids.
  9. I agree with kousaka about curse combos with tsubaki. Today I tried to do the wheel loop on a friend. i usually do the j5c > 214c in the combo too. I noticed that the j5c will jus whiff sometimes unless ur're really really close when you do it. In addition, it seems like u need to release the c and d bugs jus a tad bit earlier to get her at minimal height. Someone else confirm my findings, I'm about 80% sure of this.
  10. I believe Arakune's d bug will be able to catch her. I've done it once before on a friend i believe.
  11. Don't get hit by jC, get a cloud out whenever possible. If you're stuck in a corner, get ready to be there for a while. Careful putting out 6d as her range could get u. Pretty much the same stuff to worry about, except now we don't have many tools to deal with her and our curse isn't instant so it's a pretty uphill battle imo.

  16. The point is he doesn't, which is why this matchup is in lambda's favor. One can deal a crapload of damage, but it can be hard or impossible to make it happen.
  17. Personally as an arakune player, i think the ara litchi matchup is more one sided than 4.5-5.5 in litchi's favor, but what do i kno.
  18. yea, i was playing my local tager. Ok, he subs tager, maybe not a great example, but still, he knew tager's bnbs. Anyhow, what i found was that during the match, arakune really really really doesn't want to approach tager in the slightest bit because of magnetism. Once arakune gets magnetized it seems like tager is in his "mode". Arakune can't really jump once this happens, because of tager's air grab, and arakune's ground game is almost non existent. This dilemma was still present in CT, but when you compound that with the fact that it takes a while to get curse and arakune's dive (j2a/b/c) got nerfed to oblivion outside combos, it makes it a really bad place to be in. Also tager's mixup/grab game seems to have gotten improved quite a bit. Basically, if ara jumps, he'll get magnetized in and be forced into tager's mixup/grab game and if ara stays on ground most likely, he'll be sending the spit bug(2d), which tager can sledge through. Arakune on the other hand, should be jumping out of crap to avoid magnetism from the start of the match and summoning clouds. Most likely during this time, arakune will be getting negative penalty if the tager is rushing him while ara is doing this. Once arakune is able to get a curse in though, it seems pretty game. I have seen comebacks from a full curse combo though since tager's damage is unbelievably high, so he still has a chance, though not very high. Basically, what i'm seeing is arakune running the hell away because of his not-so-good normals to avoid getting magnetized and to get a curse on tager. Whoever gets curse or magnetism usually ends up winning. I'm pretty sure that's why this matchp is 5-5. I may be wrong on some of this, so please correct my understanding of this matchup if possible.

  21. quick question. If one were to combo into a curse and continue to combo out of the curse, would it be possible to break the 50% recurse barrier? I have a theory that the 50% recurse barrier is there when u start ur combo in curse mode. However, if u start the combo into a curse, continue to combo until ur curse runs out, u might be able to break the 50%. Although it might prorate a crapload, i think that with j.c it might actually be decent damage. Anyone care to answer?

  24. have you guys been able to figure out combos right after curse. Say suppose you do 5c>j6a>jc.>j5a>j5b>j5c>j5d and you notice that ur curse meter fills exactly after the j5d, is it possible to continue the combo or are the bugs too slow? I don't think i've seen anyone really connect after a curse, more like mixing up after they curse into combo.
  25. So once they're cursed and comboed, they're not getting away scot free. Nice to know that he can keep it up without having to restart from the beginning. Only gameplay problem now is the beginning, which has always been our woes. Also, is there a vid of arakune winning against a lambda yet? I want to see any new tactics used against her.
