  1. 2B prorating that much? Ok.. That's just stupid.. I mean, it's a standard low hit... Nothing special about it... Every character has one... So what makes this one so special that it needs to prorate and get rid of a third of the damage? I can understand some things, like the frog's proration, but this makes absolutely no sense, no matter how much proof you give me of the contrary. Ok.. Yeah, it probably involves some 3C and maybe a frog, but my point still stands.
  2. So you're saying the timeout wins may be occurring because our damage is so low that we can't ever seem to finish off our opponent within the time limit, especially considering how much more cautious we need to be in approaching our enemy?
  3. Biggest problem I'm expecting people to face at the moment is coping with the fact that quite a few of our moves that we used to quite liberally toss out are no longer safe. Not so much the damage... Although these damage values I'm seeing do seem to be a bit on the lower end... Although that brings up a question.. Is an average combo damage of about 2.5K (without meter use) standard with a number of the characters in CS? I noticed that CS Bang has a list of them that average about that much, but I'm not sure about anyone else. And of course, Ragna, Haku, and Tager are going to be throwing out more damage... Don't bother telling me about them...

  5. My brother managed to get the game uploaded onto a PSP.. Because I like to submit myself to masochistic amounts of frustration and rage when I play terrible games on the NES, I decided to try it out.. Needless to say, now I want to murder the people who made this game. My desire to do this is even more so than the forced disposal of Jason Friedburg and Aaron Seltzer. Also, what is the 2nd world? EDIT: Oh, and in case you're wondering, it's the control scheme and unrealistic Fg (Force of gravity) that primarily ruin the game.. Although that's not mentioning the load of secondary issues that make it even more unworkable. And this, my friends, is why basketball players don't make good fighting game characters.. They aren't too good as actors, either. EDIT2: Oh, and sorry for not riding the sarcasm bandwagon. Figured that I should probably put down the first constructive post in this whole thread.
  6. From what I'm seeing, in CS we have to be even more patient than before in setting up our tools to initiate a proper rushdown. Considering that now it takes more time to do so and everyone's damage is lowered, 60 seconds just doesn't seem to be enough time.. Either that, or the players have absolutely no idea what to do and are just using whatever they still have left from CT. In which case, they are playing very cautiously... Quite understandable, if you ask me.
  7. Then again, timeouts in general have increased in frequency... I wouldn't call it yet unless we get a good ratio of timeout wins to non-timeout wins for each character.. Of course, being the one who compiles the information and thus having the most credibility out of anyone here, I would assume that you probably have a good estimate of timeout wins right now.
  8. Depends on how things works out.. It will either be challenging or frustrating.. I'm totally all for having a good challenge, but sometimes, it can get frustrating if everything you attempt somehow doesn't work... In fact, for CS, I should start subbing Haku in case I get into one of those days.. Should have probably done it for CT too, given that I have already run into one of those days...

  10. Wow.. That was a REALLY bad time to use Hell's Fang.. Literally ran right into that one.. However, gotta admit that your blocking skills are definitely good for a player of your skill level. You noticed your opponent going for a lot of low hits, and reacted accordingly. Yeah, plenty of hits still get in, but being on the defensive is tricky in this game..
  11. You both know that's not saying a whole lot. It's like saying that we should be happy because we got an leg amputated instead of losing all nerve connections from the waist down.. Yeah. Sorry for killing the mood. And yes. At least she has the 6A, and the very versatile 5B. Let's not forget our essential combo starter.
  12. I'd do it anyway. It'd help us help you. However, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, it'd be better to not upload it. Once you do feel comfortable with your skill level, though, feel free to upload another one.
  13. It looks to me that you got the zoning down pretty well. Your lightning seed aim is pretty good. And you seem to use the frog more than I do. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just remember not to drop the frog from the air if you think your opponent can run in and punish you in the time it takes for you to land. Oh, and I also recommend using the pumpkin more. That is incredibly useful for reversing momentum. The problem I often have is finding an opportunity to pull it out. Any player who knows the matchup will not allow Rachel to pull out all of her tools. So yeah. Practice the rushdown. Seems to be all you need in order to get the basics. Another problem with me is that I can't seem to pull off combos at the moment without getting a black beat one. For now, I can do froggy ones and J2C3D mixups. My pad is making it difficult to perform the second part of basic air combos. Also, being fairly new, it is recommended to take my advice with a grain of salt. EDIT: Speaking of videos, I need to get a couple in at some point. Don't know how to record vs matches on the same console, or even if it's possible to do so. So yeah. Question to all of you: Is it possible to record versus matches of people playing on the same console? It might help to get input on both my playing and that of my brother.

  16. TD should have been a bunch of bats flying into the opponent at supersonic speed (You know.. The cages full of bats that Rachel has lying around) and possibly a giant King George that electrocutes the opponent if you've got 4 winds when you activated the super. Those cows are not only completely out of character, but they shouldn't be spinning along the y-axis. I mean, this isn't an instance of a cow getting sucked up by a twister!
  17. I meant 6B And no, my guess is that it wouldn't affect the 5b->6cd part of the combo.. You just can't start it with a 6B counter hit from maximum range. At least, that's my interpretation. You know that we're working with what we were given, which is not a whole lot.. Just a couple videos and a lot of text.. I'm trying to employ logic in attempting to figure out why the 6B CH 5B 6CD combo wouldn't work in CS. Of course, experience trumps logic in this case.. You probably have a better hypothesis.
  18. They mentioned that 6B's hitstun was reduced. Therefore, my guess is that in the tests, people have been recovering from it fast enough that they had the frames to block a 5B>6C. Also, keep in mind that the other loketests mentioned that it is difficult (not impossible) to combo after a CH 6B. I suspect that you have to be in point-blank range in order to be able to chain into the combo you mentioned. Otherwise the opponent would have enough time to recover and possibly do something.
  19. The thread show that 6B>6C combo does not work. Not a 5B>6C link.. EDIT: You can't dress spin off of a counter hit with the fork, but it looks like you can still pull it off after a 5B (If you wind it, of course).
