well yeah, FC attacks like that are pretty much only for yomi/whoops i blocked your dp now you get to die only real exception is a head invuln FCs (or whatever other defensive property) or ragna's 2c being +1 though, gravity well is also throw invuln and takes a primer. so it works as an option that would beat say, both tager's atomic collider and his 360. poor tager.

frigid are you hosting any this week also frigid i'm going to host a weekday meetup each week of summer when i'm in texas(or i guess jet could??) for the benefit of supaa/jet/others, would you attend those? btw frigid lamda's gravity field is only -2 on block in cs2. 14 frame startup, so a little slower than ragna's 2c but faster than jin's 2c, though doesn't gatling like either. pretty decent fatal counter i suppose, plus it enables her to get realllyyy good combos judging from videos. did you see that lamda combo video zreb linked also i take it the mspaint wesker avatar was not to your liking?

oh uh ok mortal kombat 9 apparently has poop netcode but also some matches make the game look decent though i still dont care 3 papers is hell ah3 is out on psn for $30 everyone buy it if you have ps3 and didnt import it you will love it. it is interesting and fun and exciting and probably has at least one character you'd have a blast with and arcanas and hell yes warcraft 3 with no upkeep a 300 foodcap and more gold in mines is fun as hell i wonder if frigid is hosting this week

oh god i was watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpurwHsdq1I and i couldnt help but notice 35:12 kensou cancels a backwards roll into an EX fireball 36:28 kula cancels her blockback attack into jump i knew you could cancel whiff cancelable blowback attacks into specials but not into jump!! i wonder if other whiff cancelable moves like certain sweeps can go into jumps? also qwerty or anyone else who actually has played this game/knows, can you cancel rolls into specials in general or just EX moves or...?

Ronin, I think I might get in on this room business. Is this..like one room for 8 people or what exactly is going on in terms of people per room? Also, more importantly: Transient, Boombix and I going to need a ride. The place is a lot closer to zreb than I expected and it would be bald to make him drive like an hour and 10 to get us then another hour and 10 to get back to something only 20 minutes away from him, lol. oh god to counteract the sad news of no meetups from me/frigid this week: BBCS2 COMING (TO JAPANESE CONSOLES AT LEAST) MAY 10th (specifically, may 10th for jap360s, may 12th for ps3s) so american release will probably be quite shortly afterwards if not at the same time :3 only exception to that has been the valkenhayn fiasco that's right after my finals end!! so good. ..sadly that is right after the May 7 tournament, too. :| oh well. not like i'd have more than a few days to prepare for that anyway, lol. ill just brush up on arcana and litchi blockstrings so ready forrr air unblockables everywhere dat platinum more guard crushes crazy gold burst combos (dat 120% proration if used mid-combo) goodtsubaki goodrachel hakumen with faster 623a more tager nonsense like standing 720 better mu(better j.2c and 5c and 236a!!) better litchi normals better noel making people salty with bang's sped up 5d/6d also, the patch says the netcode will be improved and that it's the april 15th arcade build, which i hear is mostly bugfixes. but possibly another set of small balance changes(mostly for plat) like they did in..february, iirc also, dont forget ARCANA HEART 3 ON US PSN APRIL 19th FOR $30~ also i will have mortal kombat 9 on rent from gamefly for a while if anyone cares(i dont really, im just going to fuck around with it online with a friend)

i don't see any reason for concern. the charge times to get the EX moves look pretty long, like 20+ frames. that's pretty reasonable, especially since EX moves in SF4 already had bonus properties like you are wondering about. they were often simply a lot fucking faster, too.

uh NOT HAVING TO CHARGE IT? sf4 was visually mediocre imo and i kind of see what you mean but i dont really care that much. i mean, i play arcana heart and that is mostly visually boring to me as long as it fulfills my need for ground game without a bunch of "dumb shit" and has a few characters i like a lot(bob is one!!!) then i'll be all aboard ad dsome combos look quite nice

see: i don't see how it's any worse than sf4's aside from the UI Dunno, haven't some other games done that? I can kind of understand it. Since there's not team synergy through assists, I can see that this helps encouraging tagging out aside from "whoop my first dude is dead." Not just EX attacks. You can hold a normal hadouken to make it a meterless EX hadou, or if long enough, a meterless super hadou. Same for ken's hurricane kick and chun's hyakuretsukyaku.(which is why it's a 41236 and not a mash now) I was sad that focus attacks are gone, but this is sort of interesting too. Link...? I didn't see any throws that lead into combos. For that matter why do none of these Tekken characters fight like they really should? And why was the tradition of retaining international voices ignored? Bob, Nina, and Murdok shouldn't be talking Japanese.... In mid air? I haven't seen that. You can cancel knockdown into a tag with meter, though. EX moves are 1 bar, tag cancels are 1 bar, supers are 2 bars. Also, tekken characters can't "opt" for being 4 buttons. They just have a lot of chains that are similar to what they have in Tekken 6 with the normal 4 buttons. I'm just hoping ultras stay out of this and it ends up being a game with a serious ground game without all the stupid baggage that SF4 had. (or with things like defensive input buffer actually being justified)

any meetup this week? small chance i could do saturday also i think i will just have zreb take me to uppercut and then he will stay at my place as needed on those days we'll take transient/boombox too i suppose since they live right next to me, haha also: hell yes bob in sf x tekken. i can't wait until early may when i can hang out with you guys a ton again. i want more ah3 matches, i want litchi mirrors with supaa, litchi vs lamda with frigid, and even random ssf4 with supaa and whoever. dat juri also potential kof2002um scene with xbros like oldboy and such wow, that bites 70 dicks

didn't she get buffed in AE also, i'm pretty much hoping that sf x tekken is good and has juri in it juri and bob = oh hell yes plus, they said they were gonna include some capcom characters who are not in sf4~ i guess i'll dream of maki/oro/twelve/q being in it. your avatar makes your post much more effective than it would normally be :3 but yeah, hatin shouldnt be in this thread
