Agreed muscle memory could be a flaw for most people. Though in general if the person doesn't like the new approach for their character they're bound to move on. Remember how many changes Ky Kiske had to go through over his game? Plus using a new character provides people a chance to adapt to the new changes instead of using their former character. Remember the days people whined their character all of a sudden became top tier and they actually moved on? I had good laughs out of those.
