Villainous Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 So I've had this happen with 2 different people recently. People on PS4 are not showing up as online for me and if we create a lobby, sometimes it doesn't even show up. If we can get in a lobby together, one player is at 2 frames of lag and the other is at 12 frames of lag. It seems to default to 12 frames of lag for PS3 to PS4 connections for the PS3 user for some reason. Anyone else experienced this / have a solution?
Rabbit360 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Are you using different versions than each other? Ex. you are using NA and he is using JP?
Villainous Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 Yeah actually, is that the culprit?
Killnetic Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 JP version has the 1.02 patch, EN doesn't yet. It probably is causing issues.
CypherGreen Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 This game has some of the dodgiest netcode around already, but I am glad I know why recently there has been almost no decent games, any word on when this may be fixed? I am finding it such a shame, I'm really enjoying the game but the online just isn't there, even playing mates who are less than 5 miles away is iffy and we all have great internet.
ElvenShadow Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 The net code seems much better now post patch. Certainly there are still laggy matches but I got some that felt just about like offline. I never had a problem with cross version play either.
Sigma Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 It's definitely very playable in most cases now. Better than it was at launch as well. The false 4 bar connections still annoy me, however. Frame-delay preview would be much more useful. So far my typical experience has been: 1-2F in-state 2-3F Midwest to East Coast 4-5F to California The JP matches I accidentally walked into were around 6-7F, but I would hope nobody in the US expects a solid connection across the Pacific.
