Venachar Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I got a ps3 stick but nothing for PS4 and wanted Xrd there, so, looking into testing and playing it using the standard ps4 controller, but question, is the standard button config good or are there any recommended setups i could test that would be nice? Not had time to try anything due to work and Uni so want to ask so i can set up as i get time!
Venachar Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Almost 40 ppl have read this, plz, i just got back to fighting games and i use a old ps3 stick for ps3 games i got from a friend and never truly played on a normal consol controler in decades, is the standard button config good? or is there a custom one you would recomend for somone trying to get back in?
Aze Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I'm using a DS4, and used the DS3 for a long time before that. The default button layout works great for DS4. The only exception is if you want to play Zato at a high level (which from what I've heard, only requires you swap D and S from the default).

Thx a lot mate, from Sweden and fighting games and arcades died down many, many years ago as CS became mainstream. Have not had time or ppl to play with b4 the rise of internet play and not played on a controler as i now try to get into the games again and much needed input, thx!
APinkBuny Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 The standard config works for all characters minus Zato and maybe May. My personal settings are standard except I unbind taunt and have it set to Blitz Shield buttons. I have seen some people use some crazy button settings for pad but it all goes to what feels right for you. Hope that helps.

Probably a majority people online might be playing pad, and most of us on here play stick.

Yeah i know, but short on cash and need to save to aford a Stick for PS4 atm so need to play on pad for a while, just wonder if ppl use thumbstick or D-Pad when they use the standard controller.
