In CT I started using Noel, but after playing with her I started to dislike the way she played. I felt it was a little to basic or something so i moved to the next character that caught my eye. Tao pretty much called to me. I like speed. I like cats. So yeah.

Well, I used to play Ragna in CT, it helped get a feel for the game, but it got pretty boring so I switched to Hakumen. I think that it was the whole samurai knight design that caught my eye. His counters was a bonus. Great character, in my opinion. Then came Valkenhayn's release. "What? He's similar to Slayer? Guess I've found my sub." Played him, saw that he's actually very different from Slayer. He's a pretty strong, quick hitting character. (AND THAT DROPKICK!! <3) So to me, it was like playing a faster Hakumen. Since then, he became my main and Hakumen got knocked down to sub.

Anytime, I play a fighting game, it's ALWAYS the character personality+their story. When I first picked up BlazBlue, I was instantly drawn to Ragna's really spunky personality, but after running through the storyline a bit more, I then decided to sub Hakumen and in addition, Jin: Jin because he's fucking insane and pissed off and Hakumen because he plays such a strong character and is so unique in so many different ways.

...But then when CS came out and EVERYBODY started maining Ragna and top-tier whoring him, I had to drop him. So I was pretty much relegated to Hakumen and Jin. Then I realized Arakune was pretty interesting and I'm trying to sub him... He's very ah... Different.

My first BB was actually CS, so I never got the chance to play CT.

Anyway, I came from GG (mostly #R, but did mess around with AC), and I played Sol there, so I decided to roll with Ragna for a while.

Then came the glorious day where I saw Hazama. And it was then that I knew that HE was the one for me... to kick ass with.

Unfortunately, kicking ass is hard when all of your matches are STUPIDLY laggy (Australian here).

I honestly messed around with both Jin and Bang in CT, but then, after playing story mode, I came to really really like Ragna's character. I didn't care if he was simple and stuff (at the time I was still really bad), but I always had a lot of fun playing as him, and still do. I do that with most fighting games. I pick them for their character, not strengths or playstyle.

In CT I never really had a main, but I chose Bang due to teh epic....even though I sucked with him. Then, I chose Carl afterwards because of his character design and unique/diffcult playstyle. In CS I chose Hazama because my friend recommended him to me (dunno why) and somehow he became my main. I'm still trying to master Carl, though.

well first off, hai der forum (being my first post might as well say hai rite? lol) well Ive only been playing Blazbue for a lil while now (2/3 weeks now or so, although other games have been distracting me from CS lol).

well Rachel mainly cos... Well... as soon as I saw her I just couldnt NOT have her as my main ya know lol, it was just one of those things where the moment you see the character, your minds made up about them being your main lol, although Taokaka and Noel have caught my attention too, but since Im still fairly new to BB Im FAR from skilled with any of them yet.

I mained Nu in CT, so it was natural for me to main Lambda when CS came around. I was content until I saw Makoto. At first I went all "Don't dig her" , but when I got to playing her, I actually felt much more comfortable with her than with Lambda, and soon enough I ended up maining her.

As for Hakumen, I only decided to pick him up when I went to casuals that didn't have makoto DLC and I went and picked Hakumen for lulz, and found out he's fun that and online play with him is so much better than Makoto due to lag loool

I play Ragna, because of the Rushdown. Plus he has some sick move names. Inferno Divder! Gauntlet Hades! Carnage Scissors! Straight Punch!! I sub Tager for one reason Genesic! Emerald!! Tager!!! BUSTER!!!!! Instant Turn around move. Really, one hit to death and you kill the opponent with half their life bar still intact. Then the guy rage quits. Good times....

My reason for Maining Haz? Well, who WOULDN'T like being a smooth antagonist? (Epic fedora included)

Though it took me awhile to get out of certain "Stiffness" when it came to his combos. Now I can proudly say I'm better than lul garbage at using him now.

I started looking into BlazBlue videos in general around the time Continuum Shift was coming out in Europe. During that period of time I was trying to figure out which character would work the best for me, and then I started thinking about Bang, Hazama and Hakumen. However, soon after I noticed Bang's FRKZ, I was sold. I had to main him after that point in time, and right now I've about 470 played matches with Bang, with my second most used character being Hakumen.

I'm also looking into Carl a bit, but doubt he will become my main over time, even if I do learn him all the way through. I just find Bang way more fun to fool around with.

Most of the time in CT, I stuck with any character that had a "super" mode, because I liked the idea of custom combo chains ala V-Ism from SFA3, which meant I picked Bang, Taokaka, and Ragna the Bloodedge.

I stopped playing after a while and then came back into the Blazblue series when CS came out. By then, I had played several fighting games I hadn't before, including Guilty Gear. It was at that point that I became more conscious of how fighting games worked and how they are played.

With that knowledge in hand and my general gravitation towards oddball/badass characters, I ended up maining the H-Man :HA: and the Boo-Boo Man :AR:, while subbing Haz :HZ: and Lambchops :LA:.

:HA: :

Picked Hakumen as my main because I liked his fighting style and ability to deal with most situations in some way or another. I also fancied myself a bit of a psychic and noted that his Drive was also quite handy when I can accurately read my opponent (I seldom use it, however.) His ability to gain meter automatically and cancel specials into each other was another thing that appealed to me. His Astral, super mode, and overall badass design was just icing on the cake. It's also fun to hear him say "COME" and then immediately skip the intro sequences .

:AR: :

I picked Arakune a few times in CT, but his changes in CS made this pick somewhat more appealing. Arakune now has to work for his curse and is generally awful until he gets it, but the game is over once he does. I played mostly as Zappa in Guilty Gear XX and I saw many parallels from Arakune and Zappa that made him feel like a natural choice. His curse meter is similar to Zappa's soul orbs; once either one fulfills their conditions, they have essentially already won the match. I also like his design and being a bit of an Eva geek, I found it disturbingly fitting for him to be voiced by Spike Spencer :v:.

:LA: and :HZ: :

Completing the set of "Team Boundary" are Lambda-11 and Hazama. I liked both of these characters enough to want to learn them both, but I am still practicing their tools. I picked Lambda because I like robots and brainy girls with nice asses, so she was right up my alley :keke:. Her ability to control space and lead into ridiculous combos with a single button was also an aspect I enjoyed about her. Hazama in an interesting character and I picked him up because I thought his attacks looked flashy and he was a pretty cool guy. His Ouroboros drive is also interesting and is useful for controlling the screen/pace of the match in many cases.

As for my CT "mains": as much as I like RTSD, I found that I actually prefer a more methodical pace to my matches because it typically means that I can be in control of the action when I have the momentum.

I'm looking for the dryest character in the game to main, someone in terms of dhalsim or guile type characters. LAME!

Unfortunately there are no characters like those 2 in this game.

You know what I mean though right? Like a character that fustrates by playing.

Mu eh yeah I hear that. But Ragna ? I thought he was very offensive.
