I know it was a little chaotic and I want to thank Id-asz and the Almighty Gnat for their sanity loss at trying to run the simultaneous tournaments, and for all their hard work. Hopefully next time I can be more of an obstacle and less of a nuisance for my opponents. XD

I didn't even make it in time man, but watching the whole thing from the sidelines was still a good time Gnat. Big time props to Severin for winning his first tournament and carrying our team! Also, thanks to Tushar for streaming the whole thing. Thanks to those who entered MBAA, and those who didn't, you should give the game a try, it's fun! Whoa, huge turnout for Guilty Gear! I didn't make my character quota this time =(. @almightygnat: don't worry about the guilty gear thing, most people, myself included, didn't even notice your screw up. We really appreciate the effort you put in to run the tourney -- you too Id_asz!. edit: morning classes suck after late nights. so...tired.
Raptor Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 For GG: Although I'm also one of those people that didn't notice anything wrong, I thought it was run smoothly and it didn't end in tragedy. Also, I need to stop relying on May's 6D? (the anchor smash of pain) I kinda felt like I cheesed my victories with that move. Anyways, I had great matches and learned a few things myself on how to play GG. Admittingly, learning how to bring out dolphins and the whale were among those. As for BB: Again, I had fun this tournament, as always. This tournament is so far the farthest I've been, and I hope to break that record next time. It was also pretty hilarious to hear commentary for each match whether I was in the arcade seat or a bystander. Thank you kro for saying that I got better at the game, I needed the encouragement since I was starting to feel like I was never to be on par with many of the pro players at the arcade after repeated matches that resulted in my Noel being locked down by pressure from various characters that night. edit: also, I agree with soniti, classes suck when you're tired as hell.......ZZZzzzZZ

It was packed, and I had to run all over the place to make sure everything was set up. I had people asking for help and bugging me about tournament and non-tournament related things even while I was in the middle of playing tournament matches, lol. Overall, it was still a fun experience, and once I lost I was able to focus on running the tournament better. I feel like I was distracted from playing my best, but I still lost, so I'll try and do better next time. (I did much better during the teams tournament as some of you saw, so I don't feel too bad). Congrats Severin! I felt like I was watching 3S grand final tournaments where it's nothing but Chun v Chun. Nu v Nu has you both playing the same game of trying to get your opponent hit once to take out 7000+ damage >.< GGs in the Ragna v Ragna matches in casuals after the tournament, that was hilarious. Awesome work, BGarbage, you got third and the only other two above you were Nus. I saw your matches against Kro and Mike Z., good shit! Glad to see you back, Kro, I hope you can make it to the next tournament. Maybe I'll see you around for casuals some time. Mike Z. you push the limits of how good Tager should be. He's supposed to be the worst character! >.< Raptor, wow, I have to say I underestimated you. You've gotten a lot better than I imagined. Hopefully I'll be able to match up to you again next tournament. Diar, I tied with you! I know how good of a Tao you are, I wouldn't want to be paired up against you in the next tournament. Our debut team of "Small Medium Large" has now gone through it's testing stage and is ready for full functionality. I had a really good fight with Diar's Tao and I would like to play him again sometime. Thanks to Almighty Gnat for convincing me to join and running the GG tourney. I haven't played GG in a while and I was super surprised I got as far as I did. Siaga was so awesome because I never played a good A.B.A before but always wanted to be one myself. Thanks to Id for running the tourney as always. You deserve a lot of credit for all your hard work and dedication. Also points for repping Carl with your own personal style. I had great matches with so many people. Zac: I'll beat your Hakumen someday. Tronzilla: Excellent match with your Arakune. Onichi: Good match. I look forward to our rematches. Despite being there for almost 12 hours, I had a really fun time the whole day. I think I want to run a TSS tourney sometime as well. I'm so obsessed with that game.
