Eh, I think they would be better off if they removed Elphelt's design, aged May, and put clothes on Dizzy.  Honestly just showing people Faust is usually what gets people into the game when I try and sell it.

Should Elphelt put on a fatigue suit? Maybe May should exchange her Dolphins and Beach Balls for some Sharks and Medicine Balls (with better priority)...

Lol, are you of the opinion people are not allowed to prefer other character designs?  All work of Daisuke is god-like, there can be no difference of ideas or faults!

May always seemed a bit lazy (from a character-visual-design) to me.  I'm glad you love Elphelt and May so much though, that's wonderful I guess.

Elphet is stylish. Her moveset is incredible.

May on the other hand... A 22 yo in the body of a 12 yo isn't my thing.

Yo are you saying that May summoning a massive shark straight out of Jaws or some shit as her overdrive wouldn't be the hypest thing?

As her overdrive? That should be at least an IK, if she can summon a whale she should have no problems with a shark. She probably would if Zato-1 didn't call dibs on the shark motiff, despite eddie being a shark gargoyle drill hand?(I don't know anymore)

That's not why I said that. I'm saying what do you expect from an anime game about a pirate and a robot?

It would be hype. I'm really surprised it wasn't originally a giant great white shark and some regular size ones.

I'd be even more hyped up to get my A.B.A. back in the lineup. http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/images/3/3c/GGAC_ABA_bunri.png

There's a bunch of things Arc can do to make the game more, what's the word I'm looking for....known? I'm pretty sure there are players who haven't touched the game because their old favorite isn't available to be played with yet.

I really don't understand how some visuals put a person into masculinity anxiety. My friend called me up like two hours ago to set up some MTG modern tomorrow and in background it sounded like a child was crying. I asked him (for fun) "did you have a kid without telling me? You and that chick's moving mad fast." He was like "naw! Why?" I was like "what's that crying in the background?" He said "oh I'm practicing with R. Mika and getting my behind kicked."

I've found this video here below to be very informative on what fighting game developers and promoters should be thinking about when it comes to mass appeal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8cOJjLLkEc

Like I've already said before, Arc needs to make their characters more recognizable. Once again, show WHO the character is and WHAT is special about them. These previous trailers are really only going to catch people who already know what Guilty Gear is. The mainstream market see these lightning-quick glimpses of action and have no idea/direction of what they're supposed to be excited about. To some, it may even look like a side-scrolling brawler. Characters like Ryu and Sub-Zero can get a player's attention because they know what to expect from them. Currently, Guilty Gear characters aren't really known outside of the Guilty Gear circle. That has to change if this game is to grow it's community.

Another thing to look at is the value aspect of the product. Right now, SFV is being stomped on for it's lack of mainstream content (and how it's implemented into their system). This is the perfect time to show the fighting game community that Guilty Gear has content for online players and players who will never go online. Getting greedy at this time where everyone is on edge from many games this generation being cash-grabs is dangerous territory to be jumping into. No one wants to be nickeled and dimed.
