See if the regulars can be retarded on this topic or something, lol. Alright, so Arcade UFO is starting to do Ranbats every other Sunday. First event will start THIS sunday, however nothing official has been posted on the event. Will keep everyone updated. Also, we get the new BlazBlue sometime around Nov 22 - 23, GET HYPE (I think I posted this already, whatever)!! Been watching alot of Detective Conan, HOLY SHIT SO MANY EPS!! And playing Dungeon Fighter Online! ;p That and still looking for a job =/
DOAIsBetter Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Looking at it the posting didn't stop after I posted atleast this time. As far as the ranbat goes I am very excited however I can only hope they will start around 3:30pm although I realize that is unlikely. Anyway I am thinking about getting into CvS2, as my starting team I figure something like C-kyosuke, bison, and sagat. I might switch out kyosuke for joe/king/dhalsim/terry/vega. As my more advanced team probably something like A-someone from above/vega/bison. Anything particularly obvious that I should be thinking about? If I have the time friday I am going to try and sit down and practice. Also in important news apparently a tampon got stuck in 3rd floor bathroom drain, so water is leaking into one of the second floor bathroom. I can only hope that phased someone.

Do you happen to know a good source of general information about the game for a beginner? Or is it mostly trial and error... and more trial? Edit: Also, John, will ranbats be held for each game at UFO or are the games that it will be held for still being decided?

Would you want the opponent to get split up between the providence and LaGOWE; with the LaGOWE harrassing the mech focused his partner when the providence needs to gain more distance? Or would you have them both chasing the Providence, trying to dodge Dragoon shots (which is favorable since no ground would be gained against the providence) with the the LaGOWE capitalizing on damage opportunities provided by connected Dragoon shots; or vise versa? Edit: Also, more info on the ranbats when it become available please. Edit 2: How well does a Providence/CGUE team fare? CGUE would presumably be able to capitalize damage off of Dragoon shots, but is he less synergetic than LaGOWE?

You don't really get to control what your opponents choose to do. If they double team Providence, he uses his 560-level boost time, beam rifle, and occasional step-dragoon to try to safely fight his way out, while LaGOWE looks to punish openings at will since nobody is looking at him. If they double team LaGOWE, he uses his speed/boost time and decent fire-on-the-move accuracy + huge shooting angle and the map to try to stay alive, while Providence pretty much gets to drown someone in dragoons and pick up easy BR hits on landings. Usually you want them to come to you, while you use the map and teamwork to space things out- however you can switch to offense if need be. Providence is fairly deadly on the attack since he can pin one guy while still harassing the other guy, and he has a lot of patterns that bait/punish movement if you want to get aggressive. Providence/CGUE works. You're trading versatility/survivability for burst damage.
