Duel At The Autumn Bridge: A Spoiler Free Review of the Samitto v. FG FT7

Samitto (CH) v. FG (JC) 4/9/2016

"Find Me!"

    Chiba, Japan. As MajinObama (@2dJazz) broke it down for us, is just east of Tokyo. Let me break this down for you though. Dont. Sleep. On. Chiba. Kantou Power in the JP Guilty Gear scene comes from the fact that all of it’s areas despite their size are full of killers. Chiba however is full of fucking beasts. Hase and Mike were serious but Samitto, the Don of Chiba-ken, and FG, a Jack-O’ with enough talent to steamroll a several hundred man tournament were out for blood right from the get go! Set on the newly revamped Coloney Stage with autumn leaves covering the crimson bridge in the background, these two painted the place red all over again. 

    Samitto’s mission was “simple”. Fuck up the houses Jack-O’ plops down while not eating her 3HS or getting devoured by the unending army. The entire affair was a Chipp clinic on using footies to outwit and flit through her cannon fodder to hopefully land a solid blow. FG however showed that Jack-O’ doesn’t even need her goons to drop you, her normals will do it just fine. The only catch being that even with extra help, it’s a feat of it’s own to  pin down a nearly invisible teleporting ninja. 5/5-ish is said to be the match up’s numbers according to top men and after damn near every round coming down to pixels, it makes sense.

    If you play Chipp at all or feel like you want to study that unicorn match up as Jack-O’ than this will provide weeks worth of material to look over. Either way, this duel in Chiba is not something you’ll see everyday!
