This simple file replacement will change the moveset/data from BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND characters into their BlazBlue: Continuum Shift counterparts!

Instructions

Go to the folder where BBCSEX is installed then into: data> Char

Replace the "char_xx_scr.pac" (where xx are the initials of the character) files with the ones in the .rar (Dont forget to backup the old files)

And done! Now whatever character you have replaced with the file will play exactly like his CS1 version ;)

Suggestions

If any of you know how to rip files from the 360/PS3 BBCS1 patches or the PSP version, then it might be possible to have BBCS2 Characters fully working!

Why are Valkenhayn, Makoto and Mu missing?

Because they weren't in the Arcade version and I dont know how to rip files from the 360/PS3 patches or PSP.

Can CS1 Ragna fight CSEX Ragna to decide finally who's the strongest Ragna ever?

Sadly no, and for obvious reasons. However, you can fight different characters on different versions.

 

Hope you all enjoy this simple but interesting mod! It would very very nice if someone could get the files for CS1 Makoto, Mu, Valkenhayn and for the CS2 characters!

Actually, if you rename the files to replace the Unlimited Characters, you can throw down CS1 vs CSE characters in the same game or at least beat Unlimited Mars.

 

Jin, Noel, Tao, Tager, Litchi, Carl, Arakune, Hakumen and Bang work normal. Bang still do 236236A using 236236D though, 

Ragna still has buffs and Blood Kain active at all times, Hazama still got the Ring and speed buffs, Rachel still has her aura thingy and buffed George (With normal damage), Nu still sends out 2 swords with each D, and Mu... gets stuck in her first idle sprite with only 5A working without animation and doing 2k damage.

 

Edit: Actually, Mu's broken. She's doing that even if I replace her normal version. She's also got 6 guard primers. Tried her out in a vs. match against Ragna, lulzy. Might try unlimited mars with her.

Yea I have only tried the replacement with U.Ragna, and he kept his Unlimited properties like Infinite Blood Kain. I could test Jin (since I'm familiar with both of his versions) to see if he works normally, but maybe he's going to have more health and heat gain.

Mu is indeed broken, she wasnt even playable in the Arcade version. To get CS1 Mu working, we would need the files from the console version.

Dunno about Jin's heat gain, but as far as I tested, no character had health buffs. Whoever ripped the sprites from the console versions should be able to get the movesets as well, but I can't even find the sprites thread anymore.

Also, oddly enough, I couldn't replace the Unlimited versions with the Extend characters at all. Just crashed the game when I tried to use the character in training mode. Thing's really picky.
