King of Hearts Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Its hard to choose everyone is cool but the two that match my style is Chip and Jam because they are both fast and strong although when i try to do stuff in the corner with chip i have a hard time
Hi-C Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Just try to avoid avoid getting hit with Chipp. Unlike Jam who can take a beating, Chipp is gonna die within two combos. Master Chipp's teleportation techs. They help all around. And check the CHIPP forum section
ajinkris Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Well they both have dragon punches to get out of the corner if your opponent is spamming, but neither can take THAT much punishment. Yes, Chipp's damage modifier is worse, but Jam isn't THAT much better. Either character choice seems fine. Chipp maybe be more difficult to pick up because it's Accent Core, but we don't have enough of those in the states (whereas we have a million Jams). Take that into some consideration, as playing a character that most opponents have little matchup knowledge of can be a huge advantage here (sad as that is).
King of Hearts Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Guess they both have to sacrifice something Chip does die to fast but Im trying to learn how to time the teleports and when to use which one in which situation. Does Chip have a bad prorate with most of his attacks or is it just when I fight characters like ABA,Robo-Ky,or Potemkin with higher def he is going to do much less damage. With Jam Im not exactly sure how to use he I just like to store her attacks and make them into one giant combo.

For now, just try to emulate combos and techniques that you see, don't worry about looking for advanced stuff. Just see how they move, what normals they're using in what situations, and how they combo off of them. There are a lot of different Jams and Chipps - I'm not too keen on the Chipps (Samitto?), but you could look at Ka2 and Kazu for Jam (both are more conservative Jams imo, unlike Mike or Lox).
