Koozebanian Fazoob Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Yes you can do that first combo just fine, I do it all the time off an air throw. S JI S > sjc.S P S > jc.S P S D You can do it off that other setup, you are just mistiming it.
Wind Owl Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I kind of gathered that I was mistiming it... But do you have any tips? EDIT: Nevermind, I was doing the second S too slowly. Now to get the actual aerial combo down =D EDIT2: Is all of this stuff still intact in Slash? I noticed Anji pulling off his insane superjump/jump cancel combo, so JIing is clearly working. Has it been proven that anything's been killed? Also, is JIing intentional of the designers? You said it was originally a glitch.. does that mean the developers originally didn't know about it and then purposely left it in GGXX, or that the fanbase originally didn't accept it as legitimate but now it is?

Koozebanian Fazoob Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Do it faster? That's the only thing I can think of. Or, just do an On off the super instead?

Wind Owl Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 lol, I've been doing On but I decided to become less scrubby >.< EDIT: BTW, just out of curiosity, what characters do you use? The way you were talking it sounded like you use Anji on a regular basis...

Koozebanian Fazoob Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 On is good because it resets to the Butterfly mixup very well. You don't really get that much damage just from the combo extension, and AFAIK they always get a tech out if you do one. Potemkin > Venom > Sol > Axl > Everyone else. You should probably take this to the Anji forum as we're way off topic at this point, they probably know better than me anyway.

Wind Owl Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wow, we really are off topic... Thanks for your help, though ^.^ Actually, the questions I edited in about JIing aren't all that off-topic... Do you know the answers?

Koozebanian Fazoob Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Oh... the designers knew about it after X1/X2 or one of those games, and left it in. In XXS, a lot of moves now automatically allow you to air dash/double jump after them, so JI on them becomes pointless. As far as I know, you still have to JI if you want to do the super double jump.

Manta Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 To add to the RCing FAQ, how many frames after a physical hit lands does a player have to perform the RC?

Koozebanian Fazoob Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I think it's during all active and recovery frames, but I'm not certain. I'll try it out later.

Warai Otoko Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 I have a question that might be a little off topic (didn't find a better place to ask about it) I heard that there is away to pick up one of the three voice types after choosing a character by holding a button during the loading time...is it true..? and if it is then how exactly can I select a voice type (A,B & C)?

poon Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I have never really messed with the voice setting thing, but it matters which color scheme you pick for your character, though I think it changes depending on the opponent's character. All I know is that Dizzy has several different versions of her unblockable taunt that vary according to her sound set and to get the good unblockable setup/sound set vs Pot you have to pick Dizzy with the slash button.
