kona Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 What the hell is melty blood? Good shit, NerdJosh.
Mystic Eyes Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 And I won't be there this Friday, work needs me, and it's a necessary sacrifice. Have fun without me, guys.
Furok Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 not this guy! gotta save money for NER and NEC
Fraga Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I will be, eventhough I have a wedding to go to on Saturday
Zoob Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Don't forget FULL SPEED AERIAL KICKS this coming weekend, New England's first MAJOR TOURNAMENT! HOLY SANDBOXES!
Why-Disciple Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I will be at FSAK. Also, everyone who said Valkenhayn would not play like Slayer can STFU.
Danny Schme Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Also, everyone who said Valkenhayn would not play like Slayer can STFU. Yeah we all look really silly now, don't we?
SmilingBison Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Hey guys how often do most of you actually head up to battlegrounds? I'm usually busy on friday but last night I tried going up there and only saw around 5 people, most of them playing super and a couple guys playing melty. I'm interested in getting better at Blazblue but the CT scene seems super dead and this is the only place I know where decent people might be playing regularly.
Fraga Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 We had about 6-7 people last night, usually we'll have 10-13 people, but it's been slow the past month. We meet every Friday, with the 1st Friday of the month being Poverty Night, last Friday being RanBats. I was the guy by the laptop btw, with the white shirt
kona Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I normally show up when I have money. Which isn't often.

I happened to be working last friday, but usually I'm always there with a BB setup. Ever since CS came out it's been a pretty good scene for it. I guess you didn't get a chance to see.
Fraga Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Ok guys! 1 week till NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION starts! LETS GET HYPE
Why-Disciple Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I normally show up when I have money. Which isn't often. And yet you have the second highest number of posts in this thread. Go figure. So are we getting practice for Revolution this Friday at BG? Or is everyone gonna go to Furok's instead and leave me alone with Butters like last time?
Fraga Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I was planning on it, hoping SOME people would get there (BG has been barren the past few weeks)

Or is everyone gonna go to Furok's instead and leave me alone with Butters like last time? I used to go every chance I got but money's wicked tight. Also, I like contributing to conversation. :3 Furok's only hosting casuals tonight and on Thursday. I don't know anything about Friday.
SmilingBison Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 We had about 6-7 people last night, usually we'll have 10-13 people, but it's been slow the past month. Sounds good, now that project failure is going down to once a month I can try and make it out to these at least one friday. Yeah it was definitely dead I got there around 9:30 and hung outside for a bit to see if anybody else showed nice to know a scene is there so I can show up and hopefully actually learn how to play the game properly. What exactly is "poverty night" by the way?
Fraga Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 What exactly is "poverty night" by the way? We bring in old obscure games and hold tournaments for them for free. For example, we've had: Shaq Fu Inuyasha: Feudal Fairy Tale Sonic the Fighters Evil Zone MK2 Bushido Blade... Among others
agp24 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I think the sad part is we all enjoy them enough to do this over and over. Also, Inuyasha is godlike. And you forgot SO:TET VS mode. Best tournament ever!
kona Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 And you forgot SO:TET VS mode. HOLY SHIT LONGEST tournament ever! Fixed it for you.
Why-Disciple Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Fixed it for you. Mr. T pity da foo who didn't go to FSAK.
Nuclear Cheese Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Fixed it for you. Seconded. Star Ocean took FOR-FUCKING-EVER. At least it was interesting, though. Tales - I wouldn't put Inuyasha as "godlike". Fun, yes. But "godlike" would imply that it's at the level of games like Guilty Gear or Melty Blood, which is something a half-serious, better-than-it-should-be-probably-by-accident fighting game simply cannot achieve.
