Icespike Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Here is a picture of my stick. This is one of the older ones,I installed a new stick and rewired the buttons. Happ parts....I really wanted Sanwa but whatever. Don't mind the fsck up on the design either.I fixed it later but the first time i had to cut it by hand....Was not too successful. Anyhow it features all the chars I play in GG and in Street Fighter. GG :Dizzy,Johnny,Sol,Slayer. (not present) I-NO. I couldn't find A pic I liked at the time..... 3S:Yun,Chun Li,Urien,Hugo. Do you like? Or is the collage thing to much? I'm currently working on a hrap but I'm baffled as to how to put a design on it.
HeartBuri XD Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 You sons of bitches keep stealing my SuginTou Dizzy color, yet nobody will accept an Alice Game FOR the color. I hate Dizzy players. Other then that, looks good, just, abit too much going on IMO, I'm used to seeing one solid pic on sticks, lol. Looks good though.
orka Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Eli, everybody is gonna be claiming that Suigintou is their color so you might as well drop it. Just go with the Hina Ichigo color. D: I've realized weeks ago that the Suiseiseki color is actually really ugly. I still use it, but I probably wouldn't have if I didn't know that it's supposed to be Suiseiseki.
Jam19th Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Not to flame but unless you win some sort of huge tourny like evo or SBO and you become the best with that character then we can retire that color from general usage for your private use but unless you have that you have 0 claim over any color whatsoever. Now you can say you like it but thats about it.
orka Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 yea, at least in japan there are reservations among some people from using certain colors. back in #reload, everybody recognized the pink dizzy as makoto's dizzy... the blonde baiken as shalon's baiken... and so forth. i don't think it really matters, though... i mean there are always one or two colors for each character that everybody wants to play.
reaVer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I have a HRAP2 in pink. I'm about to order black buttons and a seimitsu stick:P Though I saw that seimitsu sticks have leafswitches, anyone knows how maintainable they are? I mean, I heard that leafswitches tend to break and stuff.
Jam19th Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 If you want the best go with sanwa but as for seimitsu dont know much about it so cant really tell you.
reaVer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Well, certain japanese arcades are equipping seimitsu sticks, then there's certain players that have played on both and actually say that seimitsu sticks are better for games like sf because fireball motions execute better on it. So there's already nummerous of reasons why I want to try a seimitsu stick, but I just need to know if it's actually maintainable.
HeartBuri XD Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 Semitsu sticks are fine, and find them to have the exact same responsiveness as Sanwas. No difference whatsoever IMO. The buttons are ass and a half though, extremely cheap feeling(lower then Hori quality). Jam19th you are a faggot, and anything you say towards me is null and void. =P House me and my friends for Evo!!! I'm building/modding a new stick this weekend, either gonna bo\uy and mod a DOA4 stick, or just make a new one from scratch. Also, I've noticed that I havent psted a pic of my Remilia stick yet, woe is her.
wyze Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Do you like? Or is the collage thing to much? sorry don't really like the design. too many different styles along with the spacing between the pictures being kinda crappy. as gunflame suggested you should just go with one general picture or at least go with one totally dominant picture and collage around it. if you're stuck on doing a collage comprised of your current pictures then pay attention to your borders and the relation between space and pictures as well as the relation of the overall design with the placement of the stick and buttons. i believe it'd help if you angled some of the pictures or even put a background on there as that black space is really funky. you should try re cropping, resizing, or even cutting out some of the pictures to remedy the spacing problem. just my two cents. if you do indeed go with a single design(or any other design for that matter) don't just stick the thing on there personalize it in some way. I'm currently working on a hrap but I'm baffled as to how to put a design on it. i think somebody modded a hrap and posted up a thread at srk. i believe they even put out dimensions and pictures as well, worth checking out! hope this helps.
Icespike Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Makes sense. Thanks for the feedback, Seeing it how it is this is my first stick I've ever modded, it was a real shot in the dark. I plan to take all of your advice and put it to use. Thanks I'll be sure to update when I do.

IllogicalDreamr Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 YOUR THE ONE THAT BOUGHT THAT!!!! YOU FAG!!!! I WANTED IT!!! Dont you already have a Baiken stick from him? Yes, and you couldn't have gotten that stick from him because I asked him to make it for me. What's that picture? From an Anime? It's from Persona 3. The game will be out in the US sometime in July and US release sometime later. GR33NT3A 1
HeartBuri XD Posted June 18, 2006 Author Posted June 18, 2006 Mang that shit is sexy. I want it. GIVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Seriously though, how much did it run you? IllogicalDreamr Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Mang that shit is sexy. I want it. GIVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Seriously though, how much did it run you? I've always wanted to ask Byrdo to make me a custom but I always think he would be a jerk to me and either a) say no or b) dick me on the price. This stick cost me $200, while my Baiken stick was $140. You don't have to pay it all at once. He'll ask you to pay half first to get the parts then the other half whenever he's done and you want it shipped. He's actually a really nice guy. He'll talk to you about what you want done with the stick and give suggestions and stuff like that. I actually had to send the P3 stick back to him to get some work done on it and he was cool about it. I'd PM on SRK about it soon though while he still has the time to be making sticks.
Pinion Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I'd PM on SRK about it soon though while he still has the time to be making sticks. Shit if that's the case then I better get ahold of him ASAP.
Kayin Nasaki Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 X-Arcades aren't terribly good. When in good condition it's OK by Happs Standards, but you could still do better. UPSIDE: Its a VERY VERY easy stick to modify with superior parts. It'll become a victim of use over time and the stick will start sucking. Well, atleast you can always send them in to be fixed. Downside: Even real happs stuff kinda blows for Guilty Gear.
Shin Masta Lv1 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I would post mine up but im waiting on gunflame buri to finish my new ones <3
Chipp God Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Finally posting up my baby, "I need a new paint job" Remilia TSHKN 1
