trust me they're not as hard as you think once you get the flash step timing down, as there is definitely a distinct rhythm to it. if you're trying to dash in after 5b, flash step you should try adding a 5a right after the dash in. in the corner you can do 2c, 6hc, 5a, 5b, flash step, dash in 5a, 5b, flash step, 5b flash step, 5b, flash step, 5b, into heel kick loop. to me flash step canceling comes alot easier than the heel kick loop, as the rhythm and cadence with the loop seems to depend on how high you hit the character and when you land.

i'm glad i could be of help but after watching the youtube vid and reading the uploaders explanation i'm not sure if what i mentioned actually 100% qualifies as "charge partitioning" according to his definition you don't fully charge then do a move at neutral then hit forward/up+button or whatever, instead charge partitioning is actually splitting the charge time itself as in: charge partially, do a move, complete charge time, etc. i always thought the principle behind charge partitioning was buffering a move within a charged move but it seems it's buffering a move within the actual charge of the charge move <-i always thought that technique was called something else. my apologies if i mislead anybody, maybe that's why they all answered no.

also during the standard may 5s, 5hs, vert dolphin you can add jump install inbetween the 5s, 5hs just in case you wanted to dash after vert dolphin(frc). ^pretty much like pulsr listed cept you can buffer 8 between the s~hs. i don't know whether ac may still needs to do the old s, hs ji combos(haven't really kept up with may) but it's nice to have options. wow i just saw a may vs may vid, pretty crazy stuff.

it's just charge partitioning. like how you add a standing short right before a flash kick with guile but in this case you buffer a 5p in before the vert dolphin. it's pretty standard easy stuff(well in sf games at least) don't worry you should be able to get it in no time. command is 2(hold, of course you should be charging down while may is landing from previous vert dolphin hit), pause at neutral to 5p, then simply tap 8s.

hey kevin thanks for throwing one, i'm gonna try and make it if things happen to free up for me today. i haven't played you guy's since evo so it'd be in my best interest to get some practice in if i want to do half way decent at kuro's lol. things aren't looking too good for me though, i'll give you a call if i can make it. hey jux & 655321 i don't think i've played you guys yet. where are you guys from if you don't mind me asking? i'm from down here in sd hopefully if you guys aren't too far away we can get some games in sometime in the future.

hey zaido i hope ai gets this! it's possible as i've heard they've picked up gg/, trf2, hnk, and senkou in the past. that should be enough motivation for me to make the drive up there.....that is if it doesn't totally bomb by then.

personal arcana's would be cool, only in the way that it would contribute to personality/character design(like each characters personal stand in jojo's.) however since afaik the gimmick in this particular game seems to be the customization between character and arcana, it'd definitely suck if their were obvious intended pairings(made by the creators) to which characters would definitely be their best.

maybe they get some kind of bonus(extra moves/abilities, stat change, etc) for being paired with their respective arcana.

aino and saki remind me of billy and jimmy lee ala rage of the dragons. saki seems to posses the kicks while aino is almost all punch specials except for dive kick.

mei fang is looking great with tk instant overhead and throw into combo. also blue and white color looks awesome! thanks jin for the vids and for labeling them, hopefully we'll see some lilika and aino!

you mean the final fight between saki and kamui? the vid just cut off before the finish but if i had to declare a winner it would definitely go to the kamui player because if you watched the second round, the kamui player obviously resisted just killing off the saki player. from the look of things he wanted to go into a third round, possibly to prolong play time. more time to play is always a good choice when it's gonna be hauled off in a day or two.

i agree with this atm, seems if the arcana system totally changes each character(gives different properties ie extra air dash, elemental properties to moves, etc) there would be an endless(or a rather large) amount of combinations/possibilities for each character which in turn could mean higher chance of brokeness. but i suppose customization has it's attractive points as well, guess we'll just have to sit back and see how it plays out. just upon looking at some gameplay vids though, i gotta admit it was not as good as i had initially thought(based on screenshots.) don't get me wrong, i love the hi res and i still think it's an interesting game/system. i love how the game scales a great deal(samurai spirits, kizuna encounter, etc) but it seems abit out of place considering how simple the hit effects and stage look. despite how large the stages are, it seems almost like you don't need alot of the area and the bulk of the large unused space is likely reserved for impressive arcana supers or something. i dunno just thought it would be a little more dynamic izzall. i shouldn't be judging at this stage though as things may definitely improve, just my first impressions. btw i gotta go for china, aino, and "etna" lol in that order!!! edit: actually scratch what i said about not using the entire area of the stage. i just saw 175mb match!!! edit2: okay it's beginning to look a bit better with every vid. i'm sure i'll be eating my words in the near future. however i do still wish it was a tad faster.

stated this before but in case anybody missed it and for anybody else who is looking for comp in the southern california area: the srk socal thread is more lively than this one and and some socal players exclusively post there as opposed to here so yeah create and account and drop by.

sorry don't really like the design. too many different styles along with the spacing between the pictures being kinda crappy. as gunflame suggested you should just go with one general picture or at least go with one totally dominant picture and collage around it. if you're stuck on doing a collage comprised of your current pictures then pay attention to your borders and the relation between space and pictures as well as the relation of the overall design with the placement of the stick and buttons. i believe it'd help if you angled some of the pictures or even put a background on there as that black space is really funky. you should try re cropping, resizing, or even cutting out some of the pictures to remedy the spacing problem. just my two cents. if you do indeed go with a single design(or any other design for that matter) don't just stick the thing on there personalize it in some way. i think somebody modded a hrap and posted up a thread at srk. i believe they even put out dimensions and pictures as well, worth checking out! hope this helps.
