Things to watch out for: Her air mobility is way better than yours.Her drive spamming is safe.Taunt loopsShe can duck under your 5B. Things you can use: 2C works very well against Tao, most of them will not space themselves.If you get her blocking on the ground, it's your advantage usually.When charging afar, mainly use 2D since Tao can close in very quickly with drive.

You may have to be quite patient and also be able to block very well, especially when Tao starts dancing all around you. In case of a rushdown in the corner maybe go for 2a instead of pressure from 5B? I wouldnt recommend any 22D resets either because she could move away very quickly. Also watch out for when you're applying pressure and she uses her counterstrike.
Cereal24 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 ive had 2c catch her drive attacks a few times, its very stiff timing. cant seem to land j214x after B+C > 214B hjc jb> jc> dj jc > jcc > j236a > j214c on her unless we're in the corner. (forgive me if i got the notations wrong for high jump cancel and doulbe jump) i also caught her rushing in with her (charge) 2->8d with a 22d a few times. it didnt lead well into the usual 6c >6cc aircombo just because of how she landed, but i was able to dash in and 2c > 2cc her into an aircombo. best deal with her is use your spacing bread and butters, she will ALWAYS come to you, so take some time to build your install. use 2D to charge, occasional jd. use 5d if you for some reason hit her away with a random j214d and she's now sliding across the floor. your j214d with usually beat her drive moves, can lead to heavy(term used loosely with tsubaki) damage on her in the corner with 2 - 3 charges. this matchup should be approached with caution, but its not unbeatable.
STenSatsu Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Stay on her ass in favor of charging since she has no reversal before 50 meter and is way better than you at neutral. Just stick out 2c sometimes when she is like half screen away and dancing around, you might CH a drive. Poke with 2a/2b instead of 5b because crawl is dumb. Block well. Think you can 2c or at least dp her overhead (ass flip) on reaction.
