I just download this for the Wii Virtual Console for my dad yesterday, and it's already bringing back some good memories from when my family still had it for the Genesis.

Has anyone else here played this amazing game yet?

I played it on genesis (or well .. since i'm from Europe: megadrive). I liked it. It was hard though if I remember correctly. No continues ? or atleast you couldn't continue during the final boss fight, who has 3 or 4 different forms. Learning how to fight against him was difficult with no continues. Maybe pressing start on a second controller would have worked, I dunno.

My favourite characters were Xavier, cyborg kickboxer guy, Trident and that green big guy.

It seems a bit dated now but I liked it as a kid. Larcen, Jetta, Shadow, Rex, Midknight, Xavier and Trident were my favorites. Midknight and Blade had sick theme music too. I would love to see someone do an update to it, with arranged music, improved gameplay, new sprites etc. I wonder what would have become of the series had Sega not screwed it over.

I had the second one too. But that one scared me lol. The clown car and the train overkill was mainly to blame for that.

If I had more experience and the rights to the game, I would get a team together just to make a remake/sequel for this game. I have a few ideas for movesets and playstyles already and just need some help in the development and artistic direction.

Anyhow, I love using R.A.X. against my family, but I remember using Slash alot as a kid.

No offense but this game looks like a poor man's Mortal Kombat lol.

I love the drive-by overkill.
