We've set our next date for November 1st and we're having Blaz + one other anime game (choice between UNIEL/P4U2/AH3 Love Max!) as a tournament game! I actually really dislike Adachi's character in P4U, thought they made him too pathetic / clumsy looking. Guess that's how he acted in P4, but whatevs. @Necro - I'm going to nag you every time I come across you... Sorry, not sorry. Actually, if it's bothering you, just tell me to shut up Games die when people say they're dead, it's that domino effect. In a scene where we need as many people playing as we can. It's why I nag you to come out, if you play these games, come out and support people who are actively trying to accommodate the growth of these games. @woof - Why? honest question, haven't seen much. From the little I played, he seemed to have shitty normals and a bad dp. Thought he might be good depending on how easy it is to place fear on peeps. 5AA staggered A / 5AA 236A seemed fun. Is 5C any good? Most persona normals seem to get beat out really easily. Aki j.C looks fucking amazing, but most anti airs just beat it clean and then you get to punish Aki. Ye...but why. Does it help out lower tier characters? Gimmick characters? That's my only real guess, is that it gives the players less time to adapt to each matchup so in theory you should have more diversity in your top 4/8/16/etc. Best of 1 also goes quicker... maybe they just don't have the time to spend... Edge Reaper Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Oh no, not character-wise. There will only ever be Terumi in that regard. Gameplay-wise is what I mean. He's a risky and somewhat awkward character to get behind, but there's also this trickster mentality to get behind while playing him. He's very Risk/Reward, but it's not like Terumi where it's out of proportion because "Where the fuck is my mix-up?" and "I need all this meter to actually do something". You get real benefits from opening people up by getting those buffs, and it just feels really satisfying. That and on an Aesthetic level, Magatsu Izanagi is ridiculously great.

Magetsu Mandala buffs are stupid and allow him to dumb (but costly) resets using rage and 236AB forced spinstates. Plus he has a command grab with real pressure which lol you have fought minazuki's right? Def makes up for his bad high low atleast with strike throw. Some Characters that are just super solid benefit so much from it. Azrael is strong but he takes risk imo, but look at how many rachels carried their teams do to her consistant gameplan. It might take a game for an Az player to get a read but chars like rachal and Teddie get to run their gameplan that doesnt change too much. My opinion on it anyway Why havent sjws banned adachi yet. He is literally the most scummiest FG character Cute but i'm not pessimistic i'm just actually the realist™

Sunfish Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 @Edge - Magatsu Iznag is a beast @Woof - Aye, he seems strong. Saw the unblockable setup off of 5a just a bit ago, seems pretty practical. Bit meter intensive but the damage it does is well worth it. What do the buffs do for him? I still don't know, and I'm too lazy to look it up. Valid points, I don't disagree there. Characters who can play safe and choose when they go in when the situation arises definitely have an advantage (Koko, Rachel, Carl, Haz) Looking at the BB results, it's pretty safe to say that it didn't really benifit the lower tier charas. All the top charas were well represented, while there were just singles of the mid-low tier characters. Koko probably also had an effect on the way things turned out though. A lot of players jumped ship so there was even less representation for some. Plus she dominates a lot of matchups. I'll take the easy route and blame Koko ;_; Too busy with the recent Quinngate controversy to be bothered by scummy anime dudes I don't know how to do sassy emotes, but I'm rolling my eyes at you... or away from you... however that goes @Necro - Please don't die of sunburn, we need your essence for the anime spirit bomb @Kingof Sarus - Here, and on facebook. I'm thinking about picking it up though. Is the single player any good? @Woof - y New topic of discusion! Everyone needs to learn to fuzzy jump, and how to deal with fuzzy jumps. Chris introduced me to it, and it's good. If you heard my opinions on fuzzy jump before this week, disregard them as they were trash. Is anyone using them at the moment? Anyone learning to deal with them? As Aki I'm having a tough time trying to figure it out, all I've got so far is punishing the chicken block prevention thing (does this have a name yet?) through staggers and frame advantage. Difficult to punish with lows due to the nature of it as well. Let me hear your thoughts!
