Alright, so at today's meet-up, saw a lot of folks with issues distinguishing the two Sho characters (and seriously why wouldn't there be) so even though it would be smart of me to leave you guys in the dark, let me just clear some shit up. Sho's 236 Rekka = Minazuki's 214 Rekka. Both are jump cancelable on the second part, but Sho can teleport cancel back to the ground (if he's close enough, his D teleport will put him behind the other player) Sho gets a second Rekka from 214 (it's basically just a shortened version of the other with two parts instead of three. Can also be jump/teleport canceled) Both Sho and Minazuki get Combat Knife; for Minazuki it's 236 A or B, while for Sho it's a charge. The only super that Sho and Minazuki share is their Reversal, Two Hit, Cross-up, Splash Damage, "Get bodied if it's raw" Awakening Super. The only difference between them is that Sho's is (supposedly) air unblockable. Don't ask me how to punish this, nobody really knows yet. Sho only has one other super besides the aforementioned Awakening Super (the dashing one where he beats the crap out of you and he recovers ridiculously fast), whereas Minazuki has two others (the red X blast and a parry super that nobody uses anyway) I think that's what most people were confused about today. If I missed something, let me know.

Oh no, not character-wise. There will only ever be Terumi in that regard. Gameplay-wise is what I mean. He's a risky and somewhat awkward character to get behind, but there's also this trickster mentality to get behind while playing him. He's very Risk/Reward, but it's not like Terumi where it's out of proportion because "Where the fuck is my mix-up?" and "I need all this meter to actually do something". You get real benefits from opening people up by getting those buffs, and it just feels really satisfying. That and on an Aesthetic level, Magatsu Izanagi is ridiculously great.

Adachi's kind of like everything I wanted Terumi to be and then some. That's really all I got to say about him. No comment Shooooooooootime Also, yes this does mean I'll be there this Saturday. The Salt returns.

At this point, it's not just a matter of who can play her in her truly broken fashion, but who's willing to tolerate playing against her. We know she's broken, we know her mechanics are busted as shit, and it takes just one player who utilizes it to ruin the fun for everyone. Considering that some people here are actually unwilling to participate in Ranbats because of it - something that no other character has done for us - it's for the better that we just keep her locked out till then.

D-Town Beatdown has had SCV for the longest time, and literally no one plays. I'm shocked it's still there at UCC. SG being dead has been a thing for months now. Sad to see BB go, but I'm not surprised either. Guess Persona is the only hope for ye old anime games. I wouldn't be shocked that CP dies within a month or so of its release. That brings up a question though; will Guilty Gear be at UCC?

The earliest I'll be able to get any cash is on friday. I don't know when Pre-Reg's are done, but if it's good by then, I probably will.
