I'm not sure how this matchup is yet. There aren't many Carl players out there but I was playing Geminemi and it seemed pretty even. Mu can reversal out of pressure, Mu's lasers will hone on Carl so even if he blocks them it will cancel Nirvana, 214D does tons of damage to Nirvana, so he can't just activate her full screen to hide behind her. I honestly think this matchup would be in Mu's favor since she can zone Carl really well. And on a whiffed Gear super, you get 6C fatal into big damage.

After playing some long sets versus pulsr's Mu with Carl, I can say that this matchup is pretty much in Mu's favor since Carl will have a hard time trying to get in. Stein lasers pretty much keep Nirvana on lockdown, so Carl has to try to solo it out on trying to get in on her, and Mu's great speed along with good normals (and Stein lasers as well) make this matchup hell for Carl, as he'll likely spend about 90% of the match jumping forward while blocking. Let's not forget that Carl is one of the few characters with the least amount of Guard Primers (4), so he's easy Guard Crush bait for Mu as well (i.e. make him block Steins then start GP jacking). And in the event he does manage to get in, Mu has a DP-type move to make Carl second-guess himself while trying to start a Nirvana string (because if he does eat that DP, he goes flying across the screen, making him do all that work for naught). If I were to put this matchup in numbers, I'd say it's probably 7-3 Mu, with the only saving grace for Carl is he can do good solo damage to Mu due to her tall standing hitbox and below average stamina, but that obviously would require him to get in.

Anyone has any specific tips to deal with carl? I cant, for the love of me, win against him online. Maybe its the lack of IB and all that stuff that comes with online play, but still...
