RandomGuy Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 This is just a small short thread for those using a stick and have some difficulty trying to get level 3 on there normal D attacks by holding a button. (does not work on Distortions). You can quickly slide your finger (specifically the ring finger for those who use A Style or thumb for b style) to get level 3 D moves. It requires some getting use to for combos and you have to muscle memorize the timing. It is a different way to use the buttons, but I'm positive it'll be useful some. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simple Directions! position your finger on the left side of the D button then slide it off to the right. You can start it in the middle as well. IZ MAD EZ YO You can dismiss or don't use. Don't hate, don't flame me. Just a little Idea, just a little trick. Just trying to help my fellow Makoto brethren. My fingers get tired from negative edge and crud (surprising not from arakune loops and combos...) so I thought I'd employ this trick sometimes...the title sounds sexual now...
HiagoX Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Really useful technique. But I was "sad face" when I read that it only works for sticks. *is a pad warrior*
RandomGuy Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Haha, yea sorry bout that. It can probably be done on pad as well because I do the same thing on pad a different game. Used to be a pad warrior...
Crazy Bat Guy Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I found a pretty simple way for timing lvl 3 D attacks that should work for both. When you hold D for most of her attacks, including DD's, a orange ring will shrink around her hand then disappear, if you release just as the ring touches her fist and vanishes it should give you a lvl 3 attack. If this is already known I apologize for being a noob.
[X]CC[X] Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks, Wondering how to get LVL 3 on that move for awhile.

Wokker Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Thumbs up RandomGuy! Ill try this out tomorrow. I have been having problems landing lvl 3 moves in combos. -Crazy bat guy Nice! Ill try this out as well tomorrow! EDIT: I found that going by feeling when doing lvl 3 D´s works best for me, and when doing DD´s I just look at the meter.
article 12 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 wow it really helps!.. altho i find sliding to the left works better for me
xX_Riku_Xx Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 IT WORKS!!!! Great piece of advice. I recommend anyone picking up Mokoto. Helped out a bunch. Like RandomGuy said its a little tricky for combos, but it really helps nail those L3 impacts.
Wood Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I find looking at the circle that converges on Makoto's fists help me with timing way more.
RandomGuy Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 wow it really helps!.. altho i find sliding to the left works better for me I'm glad it helps and yes sliding to the left actually is better as it's more natural, good call! I find looking at the circle that converges on Makoto's fists help me with timing way more. That also works, I do that sometimes. When I play I sometimes don't pay attention to my character =(. IT WORKS!!!! Great piece of advice. I recommend anyone picking up Mokoto. Helped out a bunch. Like RandomGuy said its a little tricky for combos, but it really helps nail those L3 impacts. Glad it helped. My original thinking was for helping out those who were just picking her up, veteran or new players alike. Definitely. The circle is there for a reason. Yea, for sure! Whatever helps people get a L3. I've memorized the timing way before I posted this, I just needed a way to do it so it causes less stress on my hands after too many pushing the D buttons.
