Nephinel Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Robert left and we were down to one xbox stick for the rest of the night. I went through a lot of the old characters I used to play and I could do old stuff and FRCs just fine. Where as on PS2 I could not. Andrew Whyte was dropping a lot of stuff. Matt was a bit annoyed at the lag, but he'd get used to it. He likes the arcade speed. I didn't notice any lag, but I'm sure it's there cause it's that next-gen lag. I probably know situations too well to be phased by the input lag. I'll still go to the High-Stakes GG, but I'm not too excited about playing in it now, knowing that 360 is correct speed. Yeah, I figured something was different with the game speed when I was playing the trial version. My timing on some things were a bit off but after about a few minutes I was actually FRC'ing more consistently and getting more Clean Hit Sidewinders than I did playing AC on the Wii.
4r5 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Haha the tables are turned. Now people are complaining about 'dropped inputs' and i'm doing just fine.
Shazay Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Haha the tables are turned. Now people are complaining about 'dropped inputs' and i'm doing just fine. Nigga please everything feels easier to me. Then again my timing is based on what I see on the screen.
4r5 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 I'm just happy to have more validation that the PS2 ports were f'ed up, and that I'm not crazy.
Sesshyru Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I'm just happy to have more validation that the PS2 ports were f'ed up, and that I'm not crazy. You needed more validation than Bobby's World? Pat you so craaaaaazayyyy.
Sesshyru Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 If I do go to the monthly, how will I BlockHeadBuster with no PS3/360 pad? q.q
4r5 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 I.m talking about people outside of maryland.
4r5 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 from summer jam a lot of us would have something if it were retroactive but we atleast have our user numbers #115 over here
Nephinel Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 So anyone bringing their Xbox 360 tomorrow for GGXXAC+?
VR-Raiden Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Hopefully, we need people to bring set ups for P4U and GG. I'll have one for P4U. I'm planning to get to Xanadu around 12:30-1:00, and I'll start a sign up sheet for GG unless someone does before me. $5 on 360 is what we're going with unless everyone has major problems with that.
Shazay Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'm planning to get to Xanadu around 12:30-1:00.
Shazay Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 (edited) VR - Can you pick me up on the way? Shazay has a trophy I'll trade my trophy for your mod status. Edited October 27, 2012 by Shazay
Nephinel Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'll try to be there as early as I can to set up my Dreamcast (will be bringng CvS2, SSFIIX, and Vampire Chronicle). Which means I should stop playing Skullgirls for now and go right to bed.
4r5 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 I would like to stop treating GG like a side game and up it to 10$ standard.
VR-Raiden Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 VR - Can you pick me up on the way? lol Shazay and the Yotsuba faces. I was planning to get there sorta early so I could start the GG sign ups. yeah I can pick you up, what time would you be ready? I'd wanna get there by 2PM at the latest. and I figured $5 since new people might be getting into it...but if everyone wants $10 we can do that
4r5 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 What's nice for noobs is a quick tournament and plenty of setups (and time!) for casuals.
VR-Raiden Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 True. I suppose it was $10 when I (and probably everyone else) was learning it for the first time too now that I think about it.
Shazay Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 VR - Just lemme know when you're on the way I should be ready to go anytime.
4r5 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Like, noobs don't even wanna enter a free tournament. What noobs want is time to sit down and figure shit out. They want setups and time to play. Once that switch in their head flips, they'll enter tournaments. As long as the entry fee isn't something gross. $10 is the standard for "serious" games. $10 shows that the players are serious and the game is meant to be seriously played. Anything below the standard implies something is wrong with the game and that it's just for shits and giggles. I'll be there some time between 6 and 8pm. I'm gonna be hungry, let's eat.
