Finally, thanks to all the grief and anger accumulated by Zerg players in NA to have Blizzard finally make some practical changes.

with roach atk range increase, this is fucking awesome; less chasing after the hellions and trouble surrounding the thors, I can see how this will shift the ZVT match up greatly.

building HP increase, usually you lose because you lose all of your forces and also Zerg is aggressive which in most cases it keeps the opponent in their base, but it's definitely a plus. PS: fucking marauders prinkles buildings.

mmm roach range increase from 5 to what, 6? I suppose it'll match marauders but not colossi with extended thermal lance. interesting data regarding the PvT matchup though, particularly the huge jump in win% in gold and silver leagues. maybe protoss are the real OP, or at least scrub-friendly, race. after all, usage of infestors and ghosts/ravens is a lot more esoteric when compared to that of protoss "special situation" units like ht/col, immo, or voids. heck even motherships are straightforward. terran nerfs are understandable I suppose, given that they're focused specifically on the reaper rush, even if I find them a bit excessive - it's not hard to fight off a reaper rush, and besides, reapers tend to lose their effectiveness drastically past the early game. not too surprised that protoss have been spared changes for now, I know they've indicated that they want to take another look given the aforementioned data but they'd have to tally the percentage composition of winning builds in pvt games to even have an idea of where to start. in higher-level play 2-gate robo and variations thereof are apparently the norm but I get the feeling that in the relevant gold and silver leagues it's the effectiveness of col/ht vs bioball, immo vs everything else, and void ray cheese that really skew the average.

There's really not that much nerfing with regards to Terran; the only one I had a gripe with was from the last patch (the sieges) but even then it's kinda "eh".

Reapers were always a pain in the ass and personally I was never a fan of them. I've never had to do a reaper rush and I've personally been rushed several times so no loss for me when playing T.

I think the roach buff is definitely needed; for a 2-supply unit that essentially replaces the 1.5 tier hydra from SC1. Makes countering T-armor a -little- more viable (although, tbh, sieges still do the trick). Curious as to how it'll affect overall Z play though.

I'm still curious as to what might happen for P - some of their stuff seems pretty damn buff but it could go either way.
