SolheartStud Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Been facing a couple of good Noels lately and even though her drive isn't as stupid as last game it seems like one hit can land Noel into some meaty damage on Ragna. Anyone care to give out some pointers on this match? At the very least I know 5C beats her 3C.
RagnaXBL Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 wth why is there no info here! big money on this matchup
VR-Raiden Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I don't have much experience on the match, and all of it is online =/ but I can say at least be careful about poking with 5B all day, as her 3C will go under it. Also goes under 2A. As it was said above, 5C can hit her out it, and so can 2B. Other moves can too but those are the most likely to hit at the range they are likely to try doing it. and this should be obvious, but block/hit her out of her 6B on reaction, you'll be taking a lot more damage otherwise. It seems like one of the easiest overheads in the game to see. In general it feels like it did in CT, but a lot easier.
SolheartStud Posted September 30, 2010 Author Posted September 30, 2010 Holy Crap, I finally got some info for this match-up.... Thanks for the tips VR, didn't know about 2B also being useful...5D seems to be another tool that Noel relies on in this match-up seeing as it still has a good amount of invincibility.Anything to do about that or just try to stay out of it's range?
VR-Raiden Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Pretty much just treat it like any other reversal type move, don't do block strings with gaping holes in them. If they're doing it at long range in anticipation of a poke and you don't do one, you can probably whiff punish it. If you want to figure out how to react after blocking/seeing it whiff just record her doing it in training and see what you can both do (I'll probably try it myself and see what exactly can happen later). also it's not invulnerable until frame 5 apparently so you don't need to worry about it on their wake up if you're timing your attacks right.
SolheartStud Posted September 30, 2010 Author Posted September 30, 2010 I'll be sure to take a look at it....anything to watch out for in this match that could turn the match over in Noel's favor besides 3C and 5D?
SolheartStud Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 True......but then again....all FCs can ruin you....
Shin Kazuya Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Hey Guys! Say the opp. is spamming D, form what I know they can only use 4 variables in Chain Revolver, once I see an opening can I jab them out or should I use some other normal?? Or back dash? Thanks in advanced!
KayEff Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Inferno Divider. Anywhere, everywhere, Inferno Divider. You can even Inferno Divider her while you're blocking her D moves. It's pretty much the best option when dealing with Noel's drives.
Shin Kazuya Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 OMG! Realy? I got to check that out! Thanks!
alpha_helix Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I'd like to check, is it possible to divide out of a well timed overhead from noel when ragna is teching? my friend was complaining that it is impossible to divide out of noel's overhead beacuse it is very meaty. assuming that noel's overhead lasts throughout ragna teching, is it still possible to sneak out a divider?
