Posting to finally subscribe, I'll make it to one of these things, and best believe that will be a day when hell freezes over, which means I will win the tourney with enough points to put me above the 98 points Leo will have by then.

I'd keep your eyes open for Jago now too. Every time Skye goes, we will record the finals for every game so no one gets to miss incredibly hype matches like Leo v. Jago.

I'm not worried.

But yeah recording every match would be hype, and get commentators for every match, at least two per match.

Axis commentary for everything he's not in. I could probably commentate HnK, but I'll probably be playing it lol. We'll get it done.

Luna commentary for MM.

Updated the first post. Ranbats will be on Sunday, January 2nd (still at the normal 2:00 start time). It is on Sunday this time but will return to the normal Saturday biweekly schedule after the holiday season, so the following ranbat will be on the 15th.

If at least two people get AH3 before thr 15th, then we can start AH3 ranbats then. I'm thinking of having it be free on the 15th, just because not everyone's copy may have arrived, but all the ones after that will be $5.

Stuff happened, ranbats moved to the 8th. Things should return to their normal schedule from here on out.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Already filled out the request page for 2 to 10. If we want to hold tournaments/casuals after 10, we can just move up a floor to my room (since some people usually leave early). Also, it's unlikely that someone else will have the room reserved before two, so it should be fine if we hang out there anyways.

Alright, let's make this official:

January 29th MI Ranbats

Location: 21211 W 10 Mile, Southfield, MI **note the address change**

Time: 1~10 PM, PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY (or at least before 2), I'll try to get the times changed. If you can't make it early or on time, bring a cell phone so you can ask someone to get in (you need an ID to get in unless someone opens the door from the inside).

I will plan to be in the lobby from 1~2:30 to let people in.

**I don't have a phone, so we need someone else who will arrive on time and can give their number to all the drivers.**

**If you can bring anything (especially TVs), please do so, we will have more setups**

...stay tuned for more info.

EDIT: Time got changed to 1. That was fast.

Great turnout at ranbats, guys. I'll post up the results in the results thread sometime tomorrow.

Toasty, update the dates in the OP when you get a chance please. :D

There's gonna be a ranbat for SSF4 this Sat. (2/5) and I'll be running a free AH3 side tourney (PS3 @ 2PM) so the people who didn't make it to the animu tourney last weekend can try it out. Rules:

Regular double elimination event. If you lose, you are allowed to switch characters/Arcanas. If the loser chooses to change anything, the winner is allowed to switch their Arcana. Matches are 2/3 games, 2/3 rounds. Winners finals, losers finals and grand finals are all 3/5 games, 2/3 rounds. Played in Original (4:3) mode.

I still wonder why PS3 has to be tourney standard if most of us use xbox.

lol what are you talking about? When was BB run on PS3?

It's hasn't, but it's going to be.

Remember that all current-gen games at MM will be on PS3.

My question is "why?"

Quick AH3 results from yesterday:

1st Banana Ken (Kira)

2nd Kenta (Petra)

3rd ShardZ (Cathy)

4th WeaponsLeft (Saki)

10+ entrants, fun times :D

My question is "why?"

More than likely due to the fact that most of the bigger tourney venues (ex: EVO) are moving toward the PS3 now. Well, at least that's what I heard.

yeah, evo's ran everything current gen on PS3 the last 2 years and they're not about to change.

Also it's far easier to switch controllers out on the PS3, which is most likely why PS3 is EVO standard.
