  1. Well we still play, we're doing a bit of a transition right now, since our old place of casuals is no longer available. But we have another place set for Fridays, no venue fee, because it's just one of our houses. GG is played a lot there, you'll see BB as well I'm sure though. It's in Novi, so let us know if you plan on showing up one of these days.

  3. no, they aren't one frame links at all, they aren't even hard. If there's no buffer, then you just have to commit to it. If you ever tried a real one frame link, you'd see how much harder it is than this particular issue lol.
  4. The timing is actually super lax. I think it might help if you try to have the second 6 input pressed at the same time her projectile explodes.

More importantly, who even are you? Are you in Michigan? Is there some big ass BB scene that has somehow eluded us? Or are you some random from another state who has no idea what he's talking about? I'm betting it's the latter. It happens on occasion. Lumin plays it, and will murder someone to get a setup if someone asks him to play. Riven, and Xavier still play, just gotta ask them. Again as far as BlazBlue goes, if you ask the BB heads of old, we'll play a few with you, but since none of us actually play it very much anymore, it's not going to be as good as you'd hope.
  6. 1. No one plays BB, no. 2. Despite that, yes, most of us here will be getting BBCF, then we'll play it for a few weeks before dropping it again.

  8. I guess I'll put stuff point by point as I see them happen in the video. 1. Right off the bat, you land a j.C > 5C. You go for a 3C, but that only combos off of 5C on crouching hit, or counterhit. If you land a jump in, it's usually a better idea to microdash 5B > 6A into a confirm. 2. Barrier blocking against Celica in the corner isn't really a good idea, since most of her normals don't have any pushback at all while in the corner, so you were basically just wasting barrier gauge. 3. You're jumping forward a lot when your opponent is close. Her air normals don't work the way they would in street fighter, so if you're going to jump when an opponent is in your face as Noel, you want to neutral jump, this way if your opponent whiffs a button, you can punish that whiff with a jump in normal. 4. You're relatively patient, which is good, but I get the feeling that you're not comfortable with movement yet, so try to practice moving around more while in training mode, instead of just combos. 5. Stop backrolling while in the corner. I know why this is happening, it's because you're holding back to block, and you keep forgetting that it will cause a punishable back roll if you hit the button to tech while holding back. The way you can prevent this is to hold up while teching, this will cause a neutral tech with invincible startup. React to the white flash of the neutral tech, then hold back to block, this is the safest way to tech. You can also neutral tech by not holding a direction, but holding up will ensure that you aren't accidentally holding a different direction. 6. Your pressure needs work. A LOT OF WORK. Again it kind of looks like you're doing street fighter stuff. Crouch jab, crouch jab, jump forward, crouch jab etc. This is pretty awful in blazblue. Remember that you have a run that is cancellable into normals, even doing something as simple as 2A > 2A > dash 2A is better than what you're doing here. Overall it looks like you're trying to play other games, but I chalk this up to you just not being comfortable with BlazBlue and it's mechanics yet. This will get better the more you play, but working on the things I mentioned will help you out as you get more used to how the game works.
  9. Every combo in here works, it was made for CPEX afterall. The timing on some of the combos is a little strict, sure, but most of the time, you can act earlier than you think. That made it easier for me when I was practicing the combos.

  16. Honestly, you're better off just not doing that combo. It's awful. Off of 6A you want to do: 6A > sj.2C > j.4D > d.5C > d.6A > d.5C > 22BC~66 > 66C > 5D > d.6A > d.5B > d.236D
  17. Bloom Trigger isn't safe, none of our drives are. If your drive string is fully blocked, it's your opponent's turn, unless they don't know the matchup. Assault Through is only -4 on normal block, but it can be punished on IB, and it's easily beaten by jumping, since it's startup is slow. As far as what drive strings can be mashed out of, pretty much anything can be DP'd after, except for d.6C, if you expect your opponent to use a reversal, you can d.4D most DPs, you can d.2D command grabs, and everything else can be beaten by a well timed Assault Through. If you notice a Calamity Sword Super Flash, your only hope is to hit d.214D and hope for the best, if it works out, you will get a CH combo.
  18. No, 5A is still -3. Also, we never got a mook for CPEX, so an update to frame data was pretty much impossible. I only found out about 5A's frames by testing it myself.

  21. We've talked about a lot of this in this very thread actually lol Yeah, Noel looks super bad in this loketest. We're pretty much just waiting for the next loketest in hopes that they corrected stuff. I believe the new loketest is this weekend, I don't know for sure.
  22. Yup, while in her old costume you can use both of her astrals, and you also get her old taunt.
  23. in CPEX, you literally want to use it whenever you can, until it stops working. Noel's drive mixup is Noel's gimmick in this game, she doesn't have much else.
  24. 1. It can be a little rough. Her combos aren't super hard, but you need to make sure you have control over her drives, because if you drop one of those combos, you'll probably be in drive state, so you need to be ready with a backup plan in case you drop. 2. She gets her big damage from punishing. Really that's it, her mixup gets her so-so damage, but her CH Standing punishes deal her big damage. Also, sup Ten.
  25. I mean, I'm happy with a lot of stuff she got, but her combo potential really has me annoyed and angered. Also, I saw a Noel do 2A > 5B > 5C > 3C on crouching and it still worked, the resulting combo into air combo did 2.3k, which is pathetic, since we get 3k off of that confirm in CPEX. But I also saw the situation you were talking about when it didn't connect. It's possible that she delayed the 3C too much, or the hitstun was slightly decreased, meaning we can't extend the pre-3C string too much, and we gotta leave out the 2C. Also, if you're correct about 2C being better on block, it's possible it's better on hit too, meaning we might have 2C > 3C on crouching again.
