Tomrrow? But I thought the 21st was the last day?

I should've been more clear. I need to transfer the money from PayPal into my bank account tomorrow, so I can't take anymore online pre-reg that same day. My bad : (

PU2011 Pre-Reg has officially ended. I want to say thanks to the 126 individual players, and 7 spectators, who took the time to pre-register for the event!

Currently, the games in danger of being canceled due to low entry are: GGAC 3v3, TvC, MBAA.

All other games with less than 8 entries could potentially be played in a round robin format: UMK3, MvC2, 3S 2v2, KOF98, KOF2k2:UM.

But remember, you can still show up in-person and register for games! Registration cutoff for each game ends 30 minutes before that game is scheduled to begin.

Lastly, we still need PS3s donated for use at the event. This is especially true if players would like to have SSFIV 3v3 run alongside MvC3 3v3. Currently, we need 8 additional PS3s donated for smooth sailing. Remember that by donating your PS3 for the event you receive $5 off (or refunded) on your Venue Pass, and you get entered into the Donor Raffle, held on Saturday, April 30th.

Make sure you get at it early! GGAC 3v3 is scheduled to begin at 6pm on Friday and all tournaments' registration ends 30 minutes before their scheduled start time.

Posted

If one were to decide against entering a tournament after signing up for it, who do they need to talk to at the event about getting a refund for that game? A buddy of mine is severely regretting signing up for Marvel.

Posted

Come up to the registration desk and ask to be removed from that tournament. All entry fees are refundable up until that tournament starts. So he would need to get his refund on Friday, or make sure he's there on Saturday when doors open at 9am before MvC3 starts at 11am.

meh im too lazy to wait for a results thread so

Shoutouts to ShadowRedZero. You are the best Jin. Great matches, and I'm glad I could beat you a least a couple times.

@JetM hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha <3 (ps you are a marvel machine man)

@Emba why didnt we play...

Shoutouts to Kyle for running the tournament extremely smoothly and being a hype Carl and May. Thanks for the casuals they made me feel better.

Shoutouts to Alphakami for tons of fun casuals and being a really cool dude.

Shoutouts to Frankie G for being free in everything

Shoutouts to Heroic and Matthias for still putting up with Tager's bullshit

@Everyone I played in Marvel ... east coast option select...

@Chicago, thanks for coming out guys that's more of a trip than Indiana would ever bother with

@Every BB player in general. Fuck all of you, imagine if everyone quit SF because they're "waiting for AE". Actually nvm the world would probably be a better place. Now everyone just needs to quit Marvel 3 and wait for Marvel 4 and we'll be good

and finally shoutouts to me instant blocking everything and losing to shadowred anyway

This is nothing new. Has happened with GG a few times and with Tekken. Not cool, but that's the way it is I guess.

shoutouts to the big retarded SRK thread where everything is getting blown out of proportion as usual and debated endlessly by people who probably don't even attend tournaments in the first place

also for the awesome stream that gave me something to watch while sitting in a hospital room all weekend

Jetm wasn't even going to enter BB cause he didn't want to play CS1 until Kyle convinced him and then he ended up getting second and making money. Stupid.

Fine but I don't see how that undermines my point. It is a pretty extreme case though.

Nerd Josh almost didn't play GG and he placed 2nd too, but their reasoning for not wanting to play was a little different. Let's just agree that people that don't want free money are dumb.

Who ended up winning GG? PU website doesn't have results for it yet. I would've liked to have stuck around to watch but I had a long car ride ahead of me.

Shoutouts to everyone who bodied me at GG all weekend, though. It was bizarrely fun.

Also shoutouts to that fucking BBQ. Those sandwiches were amazing.

Big thanks to Osirun for putting on an awesome event. I can't wait to come back next year.

Kyle G. won. Nerd Josh got 2nd. Face got 3rd. 2 Mays in top 3:psyduck: Thanks for coming out. What was your IRL name again? Also, if you can run GG on your computer we should try some online games some time.

A few months ago I would totally agree with this. but in the end, you should play the games you enjoy playing. I stopped enjoying BB as much as some other games. MVC3 is fun to me and I'm in the middle of a very active scene for it. I'll still always enter BB and I will play CS2.

Thanks to everyone who came out to PowerUp. I loved the Pool 3 "Midwest Blazblue Players" bracket in MVC3 Singles.

Hero, hilarious match. Sorry I had that amazing Yomi moment then preceded to drop the combos on lack of practice. You seemed a lot less rusty than I did though so it was probably better that you advanced.

Yo Matt~ I'm playing BB again~

Just stop'd by to say "Yo".

Less rusty? I was super rusty. I never IB'd anything nor did I remember anything about frame data/otgs on tager. GG nonetheless. GGs in MvC3 as well.

GGs to everyone else as well. Kyle, stop dodging me. We'll play one day. Probably not for money but we'll play.

Now I can retire from BB in peace. (And wait for CS3 to have Potemkin as a selectable character.)

Give it up, play GG.

My real name is Shane, and a friend of mine was actually pestering me about getting GG on my computer yesterday, so I'm definitely gonna look into it whenever I stop having to work such awful hours. It'd be great to play again, really. Even losing those roughly 75 matches against everyone was a good time.
