Nah you were a pretty good Naoto player Ichi. And Im Steven if you didn't even notice! haha. Best Naoto player I've encountered so far at the very least. And you should be going against my j.B you dont react well enough is all. ALL your normals is faster than my j.B. Practically everytime I hit you, is because I do it at your airdash start up. It was very fun still. Although I wish you didn't give up at certain points (ofc all of them in round 2) I guess its not as bad as Wallice though :3 xDDD Sorry for putting you on Blast!

Labrys' j.B is beatable? I'm sorry but I don't believe you at the moment. :lol:

yes it is. Wallice thought my Labrys was a retarded character at first too till I told him what he could do etc. I know Naoto do it. Since you have done it many times haha

It's funny because I don't find Mitsuru that bad at all while Labrys seems like Hell to me now. Probably because Mitsuru's normals and pressure looks more straightforward to me. Just before I went to bed, I fought a couple of Mitsurus on Ranked and it was pretty obvious when they were going for a grab, etc. :lol:

GGs too, at least you're Yukiko was more varied than the ones on Ranked. :lol:

And perhaps you should Quick Escape more? I noticed you were getting hit by the traps in the corner numerous times and QEs disarms traps as well, but if you use it too much, I'll be expecting it and will grab you.

Also Roa, have you PM'd us your address yet?

So I don't think I like the Awakening feature in P4A. It's not that I think it's overpowered, because it's not, I just wish that the super attached to Awakening could be used at any time. It just feels like my options are kind of limited until I get beat up a lot and I don't think having that super available from the beginning would really be game-breaking.

There were times when I tried to combo into Naoto's Awakening Super only to forget that I wasn't Awakened yet. :v:

Yeah I played a pretty long set against a Naoto yesterday and he didn't use traps at all so I had no idea what to do with them. And you actually grabbed me out of an Evasive Action before which is why I became so hesitant on using that and mashing DP.

I don't really have that issue Glod, since my non-awakening super is pretty much the one I'll be using the most since it can be done in the air. I also think it would be super silly if I could just do cross slash any time I wanted, because its safe on block and full invuln.

Also Ichi, don't feel bad. After playing a few other Labrys in person last night, I can say that Tsuki's is honestly pretty good, especially for week one. The main issue I had with her was her furious action, but once I realized I could just do the auto combo and then cancel any time into my furious action to beat the super armor, she became significantly easier to lock down and kill. That's how you beat her, make sure she can't do anything. If you let her run around and do whatever she wants then she'll be able to kick the shit out of you. Don't give her any time to breathe.

But other than that Labrys is cheap and this game sucks lets play a real game like Jackie Chan since BBCP sucks too.

You don't understand Wallice, I need my 720s. Even though the input isn't a 720 at all you know what I mean.

Also Donnie what in specific are you having trouble with against her? If it's her DP grab thing you can tech out of it like a normal grab. I learned that a little while ago online.

She outzones me quite hard. and if for some reason I screw up and let her Persona start its thing on me, I have no idea what to do. That thing can attack forever wtf.

I've learned a little bit since that outburst though.

If the persona goes for the fear grab, it has a bit of delay, so you can 5A it real quick.

However if it goes for that burst thing you're forced to block and then the persona starts its entire thing again.

Her status ailment grab is her DP. Its not just Fear, but has charm as well. If you see it just jump and easy punish. Theres a # of times what her persona can do before being done. Use that chance ;O

DP grab thing can be teched out of unless you threw something out, then its untechable, so don't try to mash through it.

I played a really good Elizabeth last night and I came away with a few things that might work, but are theory at this point till I find another Elizabeth to test them against.

Don't let her persona out. Its slashes have crazy priority and even if they wiff they can be canceled into persona command grab or super armor sphere. If the Elizabeth is good, there won't be any gaps between these things so you can't jump/super jump out once you start blocking the persona. You can't roll out either because rolls are vulnerable to grabs and the super armor sphere is so big that it'll catch you as you come out of your roll. If you are BRAVE and assisted by THE GRACE OF GOD, you just might be able to press 5a to swat the persona away during gaps between these moves. You might also be sticking your hand into a blender. Your call. Another option might be to wait for the command grab and hop over it and do a jump normal with a lot of active frames. The hop will avoid the grab, but unless you can do something while in the hop to catch it (command grab is invuln I believe) the persona will just be able to do another stupid mixup on you again. Also consider using your furious action. For my character its a death sentence, but for some other chars it might be alright.

When her persona isn't out, just wait for her to do normals and roll through them since all the card-throwing normals look like they have recovery. If you get in on her without her persona being out, rape the shit out of her. She only has like 7k health, so two full combos will probably kill her.

Those are just my thoughts on Elizabeth. That char is stupid, but I think once people become more acquainted with the game we'll have a better idea of how to deal with her.

At first I was pissed since all my methods weren't working, but now I'm over it, but the thing with Naoto is that I have to extra careful with her because one knockdown means playing a retarded guessing game and Naoto doesn't have a way to deal with Oki other than her gimmicky F-Action and SB Aim. So for now, it's just religiously laying strategically placed traps. :lol:

And about Liz's F-Action, if I guess correctly, I just jump and place a D trap and convert into a 3K combo. :kitty:

re: elizabeth persona pressure

5c strikes twice but she can cancel after the first strike whenever she wants(right after first, right before 2nd hits, after second hits), can go into 2c or 5d but not specials iirc(on block anyway)

2c has armor and beats rolls, no cancels after so you can just hit that(but if she's in range to 5b you may want to do 5a->jump block, and be careful because often the 2c pushes you too far to just jab)

5d is slow as fuck. watch elizabeth after learning her animations for each thing and you will react to that fine most of the time

i think your main concern is her doing 5c over and over with the risk of 2c making you not want to hit buttons, since her meter gain makes simply waiting undesirable. dont over or underestimate her stuff. tinker with her in training mode, record things and see what works.

akihiko has an option select involving parry i heard, dunno how that works

I'll be at WNF. I think people who can make it should go. Its a one time thing, being a launch event. Do we know if they're adding it to their normal Wednesday lineup?
