darkarchonisme Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Just did a search, and I find that there is no Indiana thread here. Thought I'd fix that. It's kinda hard to ever get to play anyone short of road tripping to Chicago or Cleveland or somesuch. That shit is not cool. If anyone has any ideas at all about what we could do, feel free to post 'em. I've thought about maybe arranging for some casuals / small tourney (I've read the guide), but that'd be quite awkward to plan anything if I don't know who all would be interested / would be available. Anyone who lives in Indiana, roughly where are you, and who do you main? I'll start: I live Lafayette, I main Tager, and would like to think I'm at least halfway competent. and at least vaguely capable with Bang, Jin, Mu-12, and Makoto. Would it be too much to ask for there to actually BE more than corn in Indiana?
ComradeDeux Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Oh no! Have I come too late? If it's worth anything, the thought of other people playing BlazBlue in the limbo between Chicago and Cincinnati called Indiana has drawn me out of my twisted cycle of lurking and training-mode and provoked me to dramatic action! Posting! I live in Indianapolis. I play mostly Hazama. I've only been playing for about five months, but I'm not terrible. The midwest scene, as far as I can tell, is spotty as fuck outside Ohio, which has Arcade Legacy. I only know one other BB player in Indiana and he might as well live in Kentucky. I believe I've seen a few other names floating around with In as their location. Have you considered sending out some PM's?
Circuitous Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Rising Sun here. I just go to Cincy. Also I don't play BB.
lessermaster Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Hmm..a little late on posting, but again I don't live near any of you..maybe a couple of hours away. It's kind of sad to see there isn't very many BB and GG players that live here or just don't make themselves known.
Effenhoog Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 We have a few BB/GG players in Indianapolis. We meet up every Monday and Saturday at a local tabletop gaming store. http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/indianapolis-in-we-do-play-games-i-promise.94833/ Ignore any random trolling/stupidity in the thread, it's all an act.
darkarchonisme Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 wait, so if i try to make it there on one of those saturday's, there will be people there? for real? that would be hella awesome. thanks for the thread link, sometimes those can be pretty hard to find. I still love this game, even if no one int he purdue fighting game club gives a damn about it. I'll be trying to maybe do some stuff to see if anyone s interested / try and show the game off / explain some of it, see if i can get anyone interested.
Shiawase Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Very late roll call here... not sure if my post will matter, but it's worth a shot. I live in Garrett which is a very small town 15-20 minutes away from Fort Wayne. Honestly I do not consider myself to be good at this game at all. I play it because I enjoy it the most out of today's fighters. I main Jin, and I guess you can (barely) call me a training mode monster. I can do some combos but when it comes to actually playing the game my gameplan falls apart. I would definitely be motivated to get better at this game if I had more people to play with. I'll probably start netplaying when Extend comes out next week if any of you want to play me on PSN.
Effenhoog Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Have you tried the Fort Wayne regional thread on Shoryuken? They used to have at least a few BB players but I haven't really kept up with them for the last year or so Now might be a good time to check since with a new game coming out it's the most likely time to find people playing.

I did at one point when I wasn't very serious about the game. They had one BB player back then, hopefully there are more by now. I'll check it out. edit: checked in with them and they've moved on for the most part. forever alone Edited February 13, 2012 by Shiawase

Well fuck, I'm only a year late on trying to play a BB player from Indianapolis. Oh well, bumping this thread so that other lost Indiana lambs can see that the Indy scene does in fact, exist. http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/indianapolis-in-we-do-play-games-i-promise.94833/ Edited July 19, 2012 by Moy_X7
