Jo Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Looks like I'm heading to AI this Thursday then. I'll see what's goin' down at that place. FFA has better sticks and all and the cab is head to head just sooo far. The drive isn't that bad for me though. Anyone further south of me.. sheesh.

Jo Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Yesss. Okay. Time to put the rumors to death. MiraclePizza and I were playing GGXXAC at AI. It's right next to the MB:AA cabinet. I was only playing on 1P side but I was able to do pretty much everything I usually could on the 1P side. The joystick is a little too loose to the right when handling but nothing you can't get used to in a few games. MiraclePizza claimed to have no complaints about the 2P side but I didn't get a chance to check it out. Buttons were fine on 1P, I was hitting FRC's and whatnot very consistently so ya. All in all, I had fun. GG's Alex. Thanks for the Anji practice~ lol@doing that tech throw glitch twice. Long story SHORT: GGXXAC IS STILL AT AI! It's in the dark aisle on the same row as the remake of KOF2002.

That throw tech glitch is pretty hilarious considering one of Fuujin's main weaknesses is actually throws . I wish I were better at this game so you'd get some REAL Anji practice, but it was plenty fun nontheless. Regarding the controls, the reason why it was terrible before was actually because... the GG cab's buttons were probably disintegrating after years of use BUT since they switched out the cabs, those buttons are SF4's problems now. The cab that they moved GG to has fully functional and responsive buttons and stick, or at the very least vastly superior to how it was prior to the cab swap.

As I still have a million AI tokens floating around, I'll probably be heading up there more often now. I'll be sure to post up before I head out to check for interest. They switched GG to a sit down cabinet soo if you've seen those sit down cabinets then you'll know which ones I'm talking about~

I was all "Wtf this Thursday or Wednesday?" then I checked the link and I was like oh okay. I'd be down to play at FFA or AI.. uhh.. but FFA's sticks are actually better and it's a head-to-head cabinet. I still have no idea how the new setup at AI is. Ya, lots of SF4 too. That would be me! And you, sir, are the Johnny player that I never got to play...heh. I'm glad it seems you can make it to FFA! I'm looking forward to getting some games in. @bluenine: DUDE I totally remember you. How you long you stayin in the area? I know thanksgiving break is coming up pretty close (and most likely NOT got to arcade but) should totally play together :] Hopefully I'll see you while I'm over there and we can play some more. I'll be arriving on Tuesday the 5th and leaving on Monday the 11th of January (though I'll be at Anime Los Angeles from Friday 'til Sunday evening).
