Grimstar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Some of us (including myself) don't really know whether we would like those games or not because we haven't played it yet, so why don't we just cycle games every month to get a feel for what everyone likes. Guilty Gear would be cool I always wanted to learn it religiously and I'd...(gags) be willing to give...arcana...hearts...3...a...chance... This is what I'm thinking. I want to try more weeaboo fighters like Lolicana <3 3. Also I was going to mention SC4 as well. I'm eager to see what makes Lee so good at Astaroth he steals the man's name! Also Milln, if you want to say: "Preferably something accessible, competitive(minimum random effects, skill-based, blah blah)." I'd say Dissidia doesn't really fit that :/ just sayin'
Milln Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Dissidia 1 doesn't. Dissidia 1 has broken crap like you die in one EX Burst. Dissidia 2 seems to have fixed a few things like that by adding assists. You can null a dude's Ex Burst with an assist or something so i've read, as well as do a few other things. But accessible? We just need a psp. He's good, but you guys don't want any of this (rusty as all get out) Amy or Raph. However again. We're not playing Soul Cal. Even if we were, it'd be Soul Cal 2, not 4.

GRIM YOU NEED TO PLAY BATTLE FANTASIA WITH ME TO reiterate: The following are possible versus games I thought would be interesting and at least semi-competitive. The names are youtube links so that you can click on them and see what i'm talking about if you observe a title you aren't familiar with. Destrega for PsX, Bloody Roar, Bust-A-Move on any system, Zone of the Enders 2 on Ps2, Dissidia Duodecim for Psp, Armored Core 4, any racing game; we can do a circuit or some other ideas I have, Vanguard Princess for PC, and I end every single combo with air throws, Mario Power Tennis(Gamecube) or Mario Tennis(n64), Tetris Attack or some other falling puzzle game, Battle Fantasia All of these games I am willing to run, first as casuals, as well as some others that you may mention. Looking through list of random games to play, I noticed Milln mentioned Armored Core 4. That caught my attention. I don't own it, but played a demo. I own Last Raven for ps2. If anybody has that perhaps we could play that :D

FUC is a fun fun game. Everyone does Valkeyhayn damage, in very different ways. Also, I'm a rape artist in that game.

I was actually surprised when I saw it at a retro-game store the other day. Just... I wouldn't run a ZoE2 tournament without banning Vic-Viper and finding some way around that games horrible VS camera. I love the game but seriously, Vic-Viper has some retarded spam shit going on for him. If you ran an F-Zero GX tournament I'd be all over that.

The problem will be we need to use someone's setup that has all the parts, etc, so we can make our own mechs on another's game.
