Psn is down for a few days, Star. No one can sign in until it gets back up. Not even to accept friend requests or even play online.

As someone that played the original Arcana Heart, Saki is still my baby but I do like the new characters. Maori, if she is still Maori, is bs and F her zoning ass and top combos.

Just heard some disheartening news, the president of Sony past away a lil while ago. That might be the reason why PSN has been down (if that has anything to do with it). Anyways, a moment of silence for the guy who made all those Sony products possible.

Anyone know the reception of MK9 by TN community? Are you guys going to get into it? Do you know if the SF guys are getting into it? I'm debating on buying it, and my decision lies heavily on whether the TN community is going to pick it up or not.

You're joking, right? If not then i'm pretty sure the SF people will get into it, seeing as you know it's pretty much the same dull crap as SF. A punch here, a low kick there, spam a few projectiles and we've got ourselves a fighting game non-sense. Can't say for sure about the MTN crew though but I plan to stay away from it. Hung up my SF hat a very, very, VERY!!!!! Long time ago.

=/ SF is a lot more complex than the way you put it...but anyways I guess the only game that will tie us together Star is BB T__T. I thought there was more to us than just that...but I guess not.

Naimat, there was a MK9 tourney today at GG. 9 people entered (Jason didn't, but he's worked on guides and knows everything about it). All 10 of those are definitely going to be hardcore about it. So if 10 people (possibly more after the game has been around for a while) can tide you over for a while, I say go for it.

Also, I went down to GG yesterday, since they just started having Friday Night Fights, and played lots of MvC3. I think my overall record for the night was like 130-10. There were some really good players there too...

Sorry pal, in my defense I did give MvC3 a chance. Even bought the game to show my dead support for the game. I've had the concept of overly-complicated gameplay and combos drilled into my head since I first started playing fighting games. Unfortunately, only GG(even though i'm still terrible at it), BB and recently AH3 have really clicked for me. Guess i'm just weird or something.

Friday Night Fights? =) what time????

Yesterday, it was 6-11pm. I got there super early and played some random people for a little while. Then some guys that post frequently on SRK came up. I got to meet and play a few of them. I probably won't go next Friday, since our tournament is Saturday anyway.

Check the TN thread on SRK every now and then for stuff like this. Billy and I post there often.

You're joking, right? If not then i'm pretty sure the Blazblue people will get into it, seeing as you know it's pretty much the same dull crap as Blazblue. A punch here, a low kick there, spam a few brain dead combos and we've got ourselves a fighting game non-sense.. Can't say for sure about the MTN crew though but I plan to stay away from it.

Fixed.

Also Naimat, a lot of the SF guys are really getting into it. Richard that works at the arcade is apparently winning all the tournies, lol. Jason seems into it as well. I'm willing to give it a try, but I havent decided on whether or not I want to try and play it on a competitive level. Perhaps not.

Also if you want to talk overly complicated gameplay... that's definitely not BB. lol

I wasn't really referring to BB as much in terms of the gameplay. GG would be more likely to give someone a headache before BB (I know this since i've gotten multiple since playing GG). And I had a feeling SF people would jump right on the game, I checked it out over my cousin's house and was highly disappointed at what I saw. Nothing about that game stood out as good to me. Characters looked horrible, game mechanics were sub-par, and I really should just stop talking about this altogether already

I use expedia for all of my travel, Naimat. I recommend them.

If you fgts want some Mortal Kombat, bring a setup to generate interest(like Suguri and Arcana) and start demanding I host it.

It's cheap as heck to go to Canada. Less than a thousand dollars for when I went and stayed for a whole week. I think plane tickets were like... 300? Expedia, man. Recommended.

@star, lol I was born in Canada. Going to visit friends and stuff.

Ooooooooh, you scared me there for a second. I was like "He's moving to Canada out of nowhere, why??!!! ;_;" But that's cool dude. I'm guessing you won't be joining us for the final BBCS1 tournament then, T_T. Favorite Bang player missing in action again. I'm fining you!!!

NO NO! Of course not! I said I'd be at this tourny and I will. I was thinking about going to Canada sometime in the summer.

Eh MK9 isn't looking that fun to me. I'm going to get into Tekken. I want to learn a 3D fighter.

Billy and I said we would learn Tekken if more Mid TN people would pick it up too. It looks like the most mindgame heavy fighter out there imo...

Tekken. the most MindGame heavy??

nah, the most patient tho. Loads of ST style footsies. Everyone's like MVC3, if your first combo doesn't kill, the oki will.

There are much deeper game sout there guys.

Tekken is based around (1)-solid rock-paper-scissors scenario... where the overall lack of diversity (quality) is substitued with quantity.
