Switching Mag's and Wesker's position might help. nah actually Magneto on point is better for a variety of reasons: a)he benefits from wesker's otg assist more to build meter for gravity cheese than wesker does from EM disruptor since I use tatsu assist to crossup with wesker anyways. b)can dhc glitch, can't from wesker to mag c) can dhc safely into wesker but not the other way around since mag's is punishable after doing shockwave or before magnetic tempest even comes out. d)overly defensive players are asking to be set-up by an unblockable with gun assist and mag's triangle jump aerials. (this hardly happens but it's for those people too afraid to press buttons since I have tatsu assist) e)if mag's dies wesker can do ridiculous damage with 2 meters by team hyper comboing with akuma to end his combos. f) mag's can build his own meter and wesker doesn't have to use meter plus he is a great battery so akuma comes in with 5 bars and x-factor level 3 yikes. g) and finally this is a common team on the east coast. Watch guard crush or any weekly/biweekly tournies on the east coast. Several people use this team because it has great synergy. I first saw Yipes use it. Sadly I wanted to play Mag and Wesker day 1 but they are just too good and a lot of the cast gets no love so I'm trying to keep my salt levels low and trying to play joe/deadpool/akuma seriously, but it's marvel so by serious I mean like an hour a week or w/e.

I'll be on 3SO tonight losing every match and sitting in training mode, peeps. My Hori stick finally bit the dust. I suspect a wire short in the strain relief or the quick disconnect. Either way, I need to get a hold of Duckie and see what he can do to make my stick sexier. I told you that story to tell you this story: I'll be using a silly white street fighter stick with factory buttons. I won't blame it, but it certainly won't be -helping- me. I actually wasn't considering the dhc glitch for some reason. c) Wesker's super isn't completely safe on block. If there's not more than a half of a screen in distance after he's finished the super, he can be punished by many characters (barring they DON'T pushblock). Up close, he gets punished hard. Also on this point, Magneto can use Magnetic Tempest to dhc safely. d) Magneto is so fast, he doesn't really need to set up unblockables. You showed this in one of our matches simply by dashing up and down before finally hitting me with a low. e) Sometimes, I think it would be better to go for a reset (mainly moments where the opponent doesn't die from the THC). Some characters flip out after you do ROM especially small ones so it's harder to go into hypergrav loop from ROM the otg assist guarantees hypergrav loop on all chars plus makes execution easier. c)wesker is safe if you use shockwave fullscreen/midscreen into wesker's counter super. The shockwave protects him until he is done recovering from the counter super. Hell if it hits he can wavedash if midrange from the opponent into otg shot>combo. d)just an added bonus nothing necessary but i'd rather have an unblockable set-up than none at all since there is no reason to put wesker first and magneto second except that wesker can give magneto meter for gravity cheese but that's it. e) I can do that or a different reset after maximum wesker. Wesker actually recovers before the opponent does and you can actually teleport right to them little bit before they recover from the soft knockdown and call akuma assist again. So this reset has the bonus of the team hyper combo damage and fair oki. f)read f again... g)I have seen yipes win a tournament at guard crush or something few months after mvc3 was released but he doesn't play in many tournaments from what I've seen. This team has amazing synergy and not just that also versatility. If the main assist (akuma) dies wesker with em disruptor can still cross people up, If wesker gets beat up you gave either akuma or magneto meter, all three are great anchors, they all can combo from their airgrab w/o assists (crucial especially as anchor), can option select air throw (mag's is triangle dash down H, wesker is forward H or air gunshot (both great approaches), akuma is H tatsu like Chris G does with Ryu)

I've heard people still having problems w/ the connection in 3S (well the rollback anyways) to the point it would screw them out of a win.

I have terrible internet but anyone with a yellow ping is good to go for me, hello only game to netplay with. (And yeah, I have GGPO on my PC so I know how great it is there, but getting a feel for it on PS3 feels so good)
