So guys I just realized that since I broke my computer, it also had the template for the original opening post. So uh... Whenever I borrow KO's comp, it'll be restyled. This isn't a problem, just saying. Snapshot of games that are possible (means not for sure and doesnt mean all of them, calm down) in the January 28th tournament. BlazBlue Ultimate Marvel 3 King of Fighters XIII Melee Brawl There will be no mystery game. It's a lot of fun but it cuts down on casuals and makes us too busy and encumbers me from both an equipment and time management standpoint. Brawl is on there because of potential interest and conversion we can perform., but still not certain. Apex is in the beginning of the month, so I'm mulling over whether people will be burnt out or not. I can get us a conference room for space, but then it'll be an even greater .... I'll use the word 'strain' on attendance because then it is definitely out of my pocket and the venue fee only recoups some loss. I'm at an impasse. With all the games the community is interested in I don't have the space within Game Galaxy to -comfortably- contain everyone. Asking' for help in the form of ideas. If we're fine (I know you guys would rather not) with being in GG I can do it, but I must cut down on games. Edited December 17, 2011 by Milln

Seiki Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Cut down fucking brawl and melee they have other cities for that like memphis or w/e we need a bb scene since we are the only ones and also kof sort of too. umvc3 could be put on the chopping block but personally that gets more entrants than brawl or melee...maybe not brawl...lots of children go to malls too...

Brawl can be used to generate interest in "our" fighting games. Heck, maybe 1/4th to half this community is from Smash so I was considering running it a few months to steal people from the scene. More entrants? Apex has 260-something brawl players, and 100...thirty something I think Melee players. I sigh at the Melee turnout so far on pre-reg, but the brawl number is good. By contrast, 35 for Apex's street fighter. Granted, it's a smash tournament, but still. Data.

Just saw that you might be hosting brawl/melee. I am totally okay with that bwahahaha. On a serious note, hopefully you're right about it helping spread our community. I lost horribly to Boom Cube (Terry vs. Mai is wtf?!!)and this Duo Long player but I blame that on not having enough human practice. I was confused by the people who were using EX Iori but didn't even know how to play Iori. Also, everyone who is serious about KoF, there is going to be a pretty big tournament in January from what I was told by Richard and we're all expected to show up and enter. There's even going to be a pot bonus, i'm personally going to be hyping this and I hope you all will be there.

I have to defend Tennessee from all those ridiculously strong out-of-staters, and did it all with low-tier Hulk. lol I couldn't even keep a straight face.

Combos are kinda strict in their cancel points, but inputs are super super lenient. There's even shortcuts you can do if you don't want to do say: qcf, hcb+punch, you can qcf, qcf, 4+punch. Give it a shot Paps. There's three characters for everyone
