Milln Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 DoublePostSaviour Mode: Looks like I can get myself something this Christmas, now the question is, Ultimate Marvel or Modern Warfare 3? Why don't you get Milln a present?
LastStarSaviour Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Why don't you get Milln a present? What's a Milln?
LastStarSaviour Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) I wasn't Edit: Nevermind, still juggling the decision right now. Edited December 23, 2011 by LastStarSaviour
Milln Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 My name's Star and I delete my posts and cause the thread to go back a page. To drag the conversation back to an earlier topic, I knew Extend would be a new disc, but what are they going to do about BlazBlue 2 if Extend has the, in my opinion small, amount of new content it does?
Top_Cat Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Release it 1 year from now and get more monehz. Not before extend gets some DLC, however.
Jackie Chandler Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 To drag the conversation back to an earlier topic, I knew Extend would be a new disc, but what are they going to do about BlazBlue 2 if Extend has the, in my opinion small, amount of new content it does? For all extents and purposes, with all the new story portions, mechanics overhaul, new modes and whatnot, Continuum Shift WAS the second Blazblue. Let's pray to god we never see a "Blazblue 2" a la what they did with Guilty Gear 2. To answer your question though, I'm still waiting to see if there are new placeholder/character artwork/themes on the Extend disk before I decide anything. I made a thread in General about it and practically nobody has a copy of the Japanese 360 game to check. If there isn't anything to indicate DLC characters, I'd wager the next Blazblue will have at least three or four new characters.
Top_Cat Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 If relius is going to be the only character released in extend, I will be a sad panda

In an interview a while ago, Toshimichi Mori, (producer of bazblue), said that Continuum shift 1 was more like Blazblue 1.5. If anything all of these little updates are basically forming blazblue 2 if you consider that a sequel is basically a preservation of the core mechanics with some adjustments and new content but less than the original. So if you add all the dlc characters, relius, and the two or more chars we are probably going to have as dlc for extend all of that combined could be called a sequel.
LastStarSaviour Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 They'd have to give Blazblue a new name, something like BlazBlue Crisis Reversed or something along those lines. I couldn't see them calling it Blazblue 2 (when really it would be like Blazblue 5); Blazblue Calamity trigger, Continuum Shift, Continuum Shift 2, and Blazblue Extend. I'm foreshadowing Kokonoe and one other character *Prays for Nine* seeing as when you look at the character select screen for Extend you can see where Mu once was they broke the space up, making it seem like two more characters can fit at the top. In the end, GIVE ME FCKING CT COLORS YOU BASTARDS!!!!

Each of these could be argued that they are their own seperate games seeing as well, a story with retarded time loops can pull that type of crap off. Suddenly a new character appears, just another bull shit possibility of the Continuum Shift.
Top_Cat Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 If they released the CT dlc colors, I would be a happy, happy man
Seiki Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Just to be clear. I am not saying that all of these updates is ,by arcsys's intention, meant to become blazblue 2. What I am saying is that if you look at what makes a sequel in general for any kind of game, movie, book, whatever. these updates can sum up to be a "true sequel". and lol, star you consider each and every version of CS to be a blazblue sequel? they were all small add-ons...the biggest one of them all the first CS isn't even considered by the producer to be a sequel...So if we count all the updates we are at Blazblue 1.78322356890213440...not blazblue 5...
LastStarSaviour Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I'm not really saying they all are sequels, but i'm saying if someone wanted to argue it they could be. Time loops man, it's all about them time loops. Plus all the others had their own game released so yeah they could. CS has a disc, CS2 has a disc (psp), and Extend has a disc. Same story, different games, just sayin. Blazblue *love*
Milln Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 When I say BlazBlue 2 I mean when we all road trip it to Ikaruga. It'll prolly have a disc, too. Sigh.
LastStarSaviour Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Why Ikaruga? All they have there are mentally-handicapped ninjas.
Top_Cat Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 so bang can reluctantly save arakune for litchi and everyone but bang lives happily ever after. well except tsubaki.
