LuminAbyss Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 HMMM...to fully take advantage of nest Kyo is to give him all the meter and drive he ever wants. With Shen on the team...they are both going to be fighting over meter and drive. I mean Nest Kyo is pretty good without meter but to me he has the easiest confirms into HD combo and his HD combos are really easy and damaging. In my opinion, the best way to organize a team is battery/guy who can use meter to do extended combos without drive/guy who can do high damaging easy HD combos. It can kind of work with your team. I would organize it as Terry/Shen/Ex Kyo since ex kyo needs the drive more than Shen. Shen can do pretty damaging drive-less combos using his ex overhead and ex launching uppercut move plus he gets a free combo off of ex command grab. And if Shen dies EX Kyo still has the drive shen didn't spend, since he doesn't really need it, to do his HD combo into TOD. I might end up replacing Shen if this is the case, I was kinda worried about this since Shen is currently my anchor. I am more comfortable with EX Kyo's combos in general though, I played him in 98 and I've recently gone back to it and practiced his stuff from there while I wait for him to be released on PSN, and he does FAT damage with his drive cancels and HD combos. I'm going to go ahead and play with the order you suggested and see how that works, if I have to too though, I might replace Shen for another character.

Robert/Mai/Leona, i'm loving these three so much and the team works in any order I decide to place them in. Anyone can be a battery, anyone can be a meter-waster, only Leona and Robert can be power-houses. This is really working out great for me. Love this team, love these characters, love this game! Anyways, that's my random rant for the day.

So many things I want to do, yet too much driving. ;_; I'll be making it to MTNY (Middle Tennessee New Year's, as I'm dubbing it) for sure, along with the January MTN (that's a given) and Final Round (parents shall be talked to once I stop being a little bitch). However, I haven't had near enough time with KoF to warrant the drive to the tourney, and I'll need some time to figure out about whether the 21st is doable or not. Thanks for keeping us updated, Milln. I'm super hype. :D

Right now i'm working on three teams, one which revolves around Kim (Athena is in this one) and one revolving around Takuma (she'll probably be in this one as well). I'm trying to have all three ready for our first KoF tourney or the one at GG (My Robert/Mai/Leona team is for my salty run-back against Boomcube since I have the most synergy with these three). I'm nowhere near going to drop Athena, just got a different plan for the near future. Also, I could've sworn I said something about GG's tourn- oh yeah, no one reads my posts anyways
