A.X.I.S. Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Oh man. Hakumen's new combos are so fucking awesome. The execution is a lot harder, but they feel so freaking amazing. I just wish I had easier youtube access so I could learn more than just challenge mode combos. Relius doesn't feel as great as I thought he would, but I definitely have to play my new sub. I love how they put unlockables in the gallery like announcers and stuff. Does anyone know if CT's announcer is in there? I don't know them by their names. No CT announcer.

Kyle and I are shouldering the cost. Pitch us a few bucks if you can afford it, don't even fucking worry about it if you can't. That's about it. We would be in a 3 room block with both of the Ohio and friends crew. So that's done. Who can drive, and who has transportation issues? I could possibly get a 15 passenger bus, but I really don't want to do that if we can get the drivers and handle it that way.

I'm not sure I'll have the money to completely cover my side for the hotel room, but I'll be sure to pay you what I can. As for transportation, the Megabus website is finally letting me look at travel costs/times, but I'm not sure it'd be a viable choice. For some reason, it would cost $1 to go from Nashville to Indianapolis (which basically passes right by Cincinnati), but going from Indianapolis to Cincinnati after that would cost $14. WTF? If we're going for cost effectiveness, a dollar per person to Indianapolis is awesome if we can find a cheap way to go from there to Cincinnati, too. Perhaps the Ohio gang could shed some light on that kind of transportation.

My buttons are spaced further apart than what everyone else uses tho. I also have a PS3 Cuthulu board if anyone wants to add PS3/USB support to an existing stick. I'll sell the board really cheap, and help you install it as well.

I've held your stick (or a different one you have, idk) before and it wasn't too weird..

I have a red and a blue stick, so I'm pretty sure you've used at least one of them. If there is an April MTG, I'll do my best to be there as usual, but my Saturday morning and afternoon work schedule take my highest priority, so I'd probably be there late. As for travel to power up, Megabus to Indianapolis has potential to be more problems than it's worth. I can take 3 in my car. Naimat should drive, he has a fucking station wagon. I'll start researching my mini bus this week, and see how many handjobs I gotta give to get it. I'm really trying to be proactive in the FGC again this year. I'm really nowhere the player or as much fun as I was 3 years ago. I should start telling random stories from most of everyone's prepubescent years. BlazBlue EX hasn't come in at my local GameStop's yet. even those who pre-ordered... I'll get it soon... fuck.

Hopefully we can hang out and finally play some games. You remember that random guy that came looking for me at the last event, ? I found out who it was. Oddly enough, he is why I got my start. His name is Jeff. Back when around the time that MK2 came out for the SNES, I really got to know this guy. We had seen each other around at the arcade often, so he invited me over to play some SNES. I didn't have one, so I was on it. This is where my life changed. He had built an arcade stick for his SNES. He was 15, lived in a trailer in the middle of the boonies, grew up ghetto farm mechanic backwoods mostly. Awesome guy. He understood game mechanics really well. So I built a stick, and we started to play. Alot. He was always better than me, but he stopped playing Between SF Alpha 1 and Xmen vs. Street Fighter. We're supposed to hang out in the next few weeks, and play some fighting games.

I don't mind skipping Final Round but I promised myself to go to Power Up since Kyle's already made several trips down here. EVERYONE ELSE should have the same promise as well. But as far as my car goes. I'm trying to sell it right now and if I do, I'm buying a sedan which can still seat 3 others. I would be willing to take that car to Power Up. I don't have confidence in my station wagon making it up there but I'm willing to help pay for whatever mode of transportation we decide on if I don't get another car by then. Also, hype for new GG streams I guess, and PowerUp is still sketchy for me because after mid-March I'm going to be EXTREMELY poor, hopefully I can get a job as soon as possible mid way/after March, but no guarantees on anything. And backround stories of gaming are always cool.
