Well, besides Till the End of Time, I couldn't find one that was actually awesome and didn't bore me. But maybe I was playing the wrong ones. I played First Departure, and Second Story, Till the end of Time, and Last Hope. And only Till the end of time actually captured my interest.

@Vocal Sabre: Second Story is the best. Give it another honest try. Play it on psx though if you can. I haven't played the psp one but I heard they changed some stuff so in worried it might not have the same charm.

Actually. it's bias if i've only played one of the games and have little to no knowledge of the other game and am only making my statements off of what i've seen and heard, not actual fact. This makes the case of bias irrelevent seeing as i've played all the games of both series.

If you want to argue that me down-playing one game over another is bias even though they are similar then that is incorrect. If both games are similar, then that means obviously the game that could invoke the implied design and satisfaction that the publishers intended towards it's audience would win.

For example, Tales of and Star Ocean game:

Both are RPGs which we all can say are generally similar. Now, because we agree that they are similar here is a time where you take the two and figure out which is better

*Both have storylines designed toward drawing in RPG gamers (TO has a better story)

*Fighting mechanics and accessibility of gameplay (TO has an overall faster pace and overall more engaging battle system. I will say on this issue that older TO games would be outclassed by SO in terms of Technical skill required, but current TO's out today go on par in terms of technicality)

*Graphics (This is one thing I have to give SO, the game looks pretty damn beautiful)

In conclusion, both are good RPGs. Probably the best on the market today. But, TOs do everything a SO game does except faster and better.

In all seriousness, I LOVE Evolution. I played the first and second one on the Dreamcast, and found it to have kind of a unique charm to it. It was one of the first turn-based RPGs I was able to really get into. I even picked up Evolution Worlds years later hoping to relive the same experience, but the Gamecube version of the two games is dubbed, and I didn't really care for their choices in voice actors. Otherwise, it was pretty much the exact same game. It's totally worth the $4 if you can find a used copy at Gamestop.

Jackie - WHERE MA VIDZ AT? I'm not that good; I pretty much just got combos down and improved my reaction time. I honestly feel like Haku-men does all the work for me most of the time. It's times like this that make me wish I had a normal brain. Not to mention you and I already got our props for leveling up. Hopefully we'll run into each other for another Grand Finals match. Either way, good games. In my opinion, the truly most underrated player at MTN would be Pickle. He's been quietly toiling away between every tournament, and shows consistent improvement. On that note. . .

Pickle - That was pretty tense, and 360 pad aside you gave me a bit more trouble than Jackie. Keep on levelin', dude. Your Rags is getting fun to fight.

Fuggin' Justin, man. He's such a fool when it comes to fighting games. Especially KOF. First he says he has better execution than I do and I know he thinks he's better than I am. And then he wonders aloud "why can't I beat you?!" when he loses TWELVE GAMES IN A ROW. And then goes 14-2 where the two losses are only because I make a retarded mistake, like jump on top of a projectile. He says my characters (Mature, Ash, and Kensou, mind you, who can be very creative in their combos sans Ash unless he's in Sans Culotte.) are derpy when he PLAYS KYO AND KULA. Then I drop a combo on purpose by Drive Cancelling into the hard version of Claw Dash because I know it won't kill him to put him in a reset. He doesn't block it and dies because of it, then says that it wasn't a reset. Dude. Don't tell me what something isn't when I'm the one doing it and putting you in the position.

His mindset is so awful.
