That's it. That's all. The entire tournament got low turnouts. Sf, KOF, marvel, soul cal.... Everything. It's because the tournament got practically no exposure. No sticky until like... Three days before. No front page on SRK until like... Day of and even then it's in between some bs fanart gallery and Funny Moments. NO exposure. TWO people for Super Turbo. Maybe... 19? For MK. All of us TO's at MWC are furious that SRK basically ignored the tournament.

Even traded with Papstr a few times, much better than I did Friday night. Shout-outs to BB being an extremely hype experience for me. Don't know if any one else was as hyped as I was during each of the matches (I even had to calm myself down to try and focus. lol). I can honestly say that I have no regrets quitting the game after this MWC. Shout-outs to Guilty Gear. The entire tournament was hype and I hope we continue to run side tournies for it. My future for it competetively may look fuzzy (heck, even my casual future for it looks fuzzy). But, i'll leave that to the stars to decide. Shout-outs to I-no. Gotta love that woman. Shout-outs to Hickory Hollow Mall. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! BURN YOU STUPID MALL!!!!! BURN!!!!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Many of you can already guess what i'm about to talk about, especially since it's the one game that's been sitting on my soul for a very long time now. I also know that many of you might want me to shut the fuck up about it already but honestly I feel I need to re-iterate this point a thousand times (and I will). Originally I wasn't going to say anything about it because I was wondering if I was beginning to annoy anyone but the most recent front page Dustloop article made me realize something. If I love this game as much as I say I do (which I do), then I need to be as annoying as possible. From what I can telll, P4U is drawing people from all FG communities in hopes of making P4U big in the US. SF, Marvel, Kof, BB, GG, and MB players are all coming on board for the game. This makes the possibilty of P4U becoming a major flagship game for 2-D fighting genres very high. Thus making me wonder if our community can get big enough for P4U to bring the Tennessee scenes together. Either ways, I urge everyone to consider P4U again and take it seriously once it releases. I know many of MTNers already are but i'm just stressing it because it feels good to finally hype a game I want to do well to it's fullest. Anyways, I guess that's all I had to say. P.S. If you haven't signed the petition to get P4U into the MLG please do so, even if you have no interest in playing the game. It won't hurt anything to sign, please.... Taking a look at the schedule posted by SRK (which, I'll add, was in an article posted on Saturday morning- the day AFTER the event started) shows no mention of Super Turbo, and incorrectly lists the time of EVERY game on Sunday except for Skullgirls. IPW, instead of listing the games and times in what should have been a simple copy/paste, lazily linked to the SRK forum post about it the day it started. EH did the same thing, except it did so in a weekly event listing a couple days earlier. Seriously, MWC was an EVO qualifier- how could it receive such an absence of publicity? The FGC depends on sites like those to bring them information (and in a timely manner) so they can make it to events like these. The lack of support it received is unacceptable. That isn't to say it was a bad event though. Everything ran perfectly today, and I had a fantastic time. Competition was strong- I was happy to see some new faces. And Guilty Gear. GUILTY GEAR. oh mai gah guilty gear. I'm just saying, it would have been even better if more people had shown up, and I have this lurking suspicion that we would have had a better turnout had FGC-based sites had done their job... Y'know... Letting people know about fighting game events (especially if they're EVO qualifiers, for god's sake) ahead of time.

But I suppose that he isn't stupid as hell either, huh? He was honestly the only thing giving me trouble. Other than that I played extremely solid (Minus not being able to play Robert and Vice that well), But whatever. I do and say what I want. Also, i'm a fraud? Nigga please. Player5 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 lol just kidding srry milln had to do it. ummm real feedback lets see. lots of new people it was nice to see so many new faces and talk with some new people cause lord know im getting tired of hanging around with jackie =P. no individual shoutouts im tired and lazy. ran smoothly seems we kept fairly on time im not sure though i wasnt there the whole time it was really hot the last day. samurai kirby hype as shit. was surprised there were so many people interested in GGXXAC hooray a game i think i might do well in as long as i find a way to practice some. uhhhhh good tournament great experience =D i should be there tuesday =)

I think my approach is just fine. I don't see what the problem with having qualms with certain aspects of a game is. I'm not going to like everything just because people like you say I should. Especially in a Samurai Kirby setting. @Kyo Damage: If you're not exaggerating, Kyo cannot get 500 plus on any hitconfirm. He can obtain that damage, yes, but it's going to be off of j.2C which is one of the most telegraphed moves in the game. It also EATS UP his meter, so if he does do a drive cancel Ex Orochinagi from spin kicks combo, or Hd, it isn't like he's going to do it again unless you specifically let him. Kyo's terrifying, but he's not a reason to put down a game. Edited June 25, 2012 by Milln

We all could complain about that and drop the game Star, but every game has a little bit of stupid. Rushdown is still pretty stupid in Blazblue imo. Run up crouch jab spam is still strong (at least, against Tager). Being grabbed out of 360s makes no sense either, and has probably never been in any other fighting games ever. 360s either whiff or grab... there is no third option.

Don't 360s in most other games come out in 1-2 frames anyway? Would explain why it works there but not in BB. You're right, that's very confusing and silly.

She mostly gets it off of 4D, a move that can be easily punished and I can only catch people with if they were mashing something they shouldn't have been. In the corner, her damage is crazy good, but then again, that goes the same for most characters in the game. Also, look at Tager, his 360s do 3-4K and his 720s do 6K (not to mention ridiculous oki afterwards). Ragna's hit-confirms usually lead to about 3-4k and his counter-hitconfirms lead to about 4-5k (also ending with ridiculous oki afterwards). The same could be said for quite a few other characters in the game. If you ask me, her damage isn't completely justified, but if you look at the broad spectrum of the tools each character possesses i'd say she's mediocre at best. Again, you just haven't gotten to play Tager seriously yet. Either ways, I don;t see my views changing, that's just the bottom line of the story. Played CT first on the cabinet at the game galaxy. I don't know where that thing went. Ended up breaking or being sold, I suppose. Been around for a while, though not coming to every tourney. We've played CT since when saw it in the arcade during the Smash (ew) days. As I recall he entered the first CS tournament we held and has been around ever since, except for when he went to college in colorado this year. He's around now because it's summer. As for him posting on dustloop, I'd say that has been fairly recent. The fact that you haven't realized he's been around since pretty much the beginning is pretty disturbing. As for "you guys", I assume you're referring to Kain and myself? Firstly I'm not one to talk much anyway. Him too. It's only your attitude that drives me up a wall and makes me wanna say something. It's a wonder you're even worth my time. "Blow someone up"? Ain't doin' that at all. Only calling out bullshit when I see it. I talk to Klein and Kain everyday. I chat with Milln whenever I get the chance. I don't just sit around and wait for you to inevitably say something stupid before I actually decide to speak.

Papstr, calling someone out on something is the definition of blowing someone up. It's cool to do so if you think someone is wrong. Honestly, I don't know how to respond to the "how you don't like my attitude" thing. I mean, that's your own personal problem but just know I don't plan to change the way I think at all for anyone, for any reason (unless factual information is provided. which it never has been). So you might want to learn to deal with it I guess. I'm not going to always agree with you all, in fact, most of the time you can kind of bank on me not agreeing with you all. It's a matter of opinions, if you have factual information to back your claims then by all means you're welcome to present it (this would be ten times more productive than the typical answer you guys tend to give me).
