qoqonuts Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Xrd Ranbats coming soon to an arcade near Nashville.https://www.facebook.com/groups/178408405617220/permalink/407445726046819/So after talking it over with Jason about Xrd Ranbats, here's how we're going to do it. At Game Galaxy Antioch we will have 4 weeks of Guilty Gear Xrd ranbats, with the winner after those 4 weeks receiving $100 cash provided by Jason. I will be providing $50 to a "best new player award" as well, with the details on that announced the first day of ranbats. Here are the dates and what will be happening: June 6th: Ranbats begin at 3PM, round robin FT3 tournament to determine initial ranking. June 13th: Ranking matches of FT3 vs opponents of similar skill to move up and down ranks. June 20th: There are tournaments at GG Antioch this day, however Xrd ranbat matches will still be taking place. Schedule for this day involving ranbats will be posted closer to date. June 27th: Final day of rank matches with winner being determined. If you guys participated in Jason's USF4 ranbats, these will function the same way. If you cannot attend the first day, you may still enter the ranbats at a later date at a low rank. I know it's short notice, but I posted the starting date weeks ago so this should be no surprise to anybody. If you are going to be signing up comment on this post so I know who to expect. Quick note, in order to be eligible for the new player award you must attend all 4 weeks of ranbats and not have won a tournament for Xrd in the TN area.
Seiki Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Soooooo what have ya'll been playing? I've been playing xrd, +r, uniel and wanting to get into third strike and kof 98/2k2um and soul calibur 5. People have been mostly playing xrd and third strike. Has Sid lost all interest in fighting games?

Considering people haven't been doing anything in BB besides I'll probably stop idk. Also I think it's great ya'll have been playing 3S, I've always wanted to learn 3S Makoto. As for Sid, he hasn't touched FGs in months. He's been avoiding the weekly fight nights >_> If I could get him to play something with me, I would.

Off the top of my head people who play or are interested in it: myself, star, patrick, volpe, mellis, alex, wes, ronald, maybe chandler, maybe caleb.

Anne Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 I still play Persona, BB, and UNiEL at a relatively decent level. I was starting to play Xrd some but the recent developments made me lose pretty much all interest for the current build. I'm still interested in stuff like Skullgirls and Yatagarasu, I just haven't had the "spark" or whatever to actually get on SG and Yata isn't out yet. Patrick is like on suicide watch thanks to the new Xrd stuff. I'll play anything I listed if it helps out.

If you wish to bring some food or drink to share please do so as well. Make sure to bring setups though!!!! People needing to crash are welcome to just make sure to bring sleeping stuff. I need a head count so as to provide enough food/drink for you all.

I'm just a little over 1hour away from Middle TN in general (1hr 15 mins from Murfreesboro & 1 hr 35 from Nashville). I usually have no trouble finding a way over there every so often so I could come in town & play some sets. Nice to meet you all. I'm also trying to go to the CEO taku major. I play GG & BB; these are the ones that I travel for with other games (MKX, DOA, & SF) but I'm thinking hard about UNI & P4AU (Mitsuru). We've got a fair number of GG players up here, and some UNI stuff too. We typically meet up Tuesdays and Saturdays (mostly Saturdays) at Game Galaxy Arcade in Antioch. We also have random meet ups at people's (Seiki's) houses every once in awhile. You're invited to that barbecue mentioned a few posts up, by the way.We've currently got a danisen league running at the arcade, too. I forgot to post that over in this thread when it was announced on Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, there's a middle TN FGC group you can join if you feel so inclined. Welcome aboard.

Like qoqonuts said, you should definitely try to make the big BBQ at Seiki's place on August 22nd. It'll be a pretty cool introduction to our scene.

He also plays anime fighters. The plan was that I was going to catch a regional van to the Nashville Airport, then he would come & get me, meeting up with more people from the Middle TN scene & then ride down to the major (CEO). Just let us know when you arrive and have to leave by ahead of time so we can plan the trip accordingly.
