A couple of things that I noticed about this particular match up, 6A and 2C are your best friends here. 6A for if he likes to IAD towards you after throwing D nails. 2C for if he tries to j.4B you. Go for mid-low blockstrings in case if he likes mashing Guard Points. Other than that, you have to play patiently, Watch for 5A > 2A in his blockstrings, if he does 623B in a blockstring IB it. You can punish it with 5B. Keep him grounded with missiles and bombs. Oh yeah, be careful with doing random Mami Circulars, he can air command grab it and you really don't want that.

More on going through his guard points;

5A is amazing for his 5D/6D. Depending on the timing, 5A will usually outright go through them, either catching him on his teleport, or beforehand. If you notice you've caught his 2D, you can mix it up with 2A, since it doesn't block lows. If you've noticed which drive you caught fast enough (5D or 6D, you can usually get a couple 5A's before the hit to hitconfirm) you can throw out a 5C for pretty good damage.

also to GGJ, you can't punish 623B with a 5B on IB. You can (and should) punish with a dashing 5A, however.

w/r/t FRKZ, it's tricky. If he does it midscreen, your main option to keep him away would be j.5C. With items; bombs, cat, missiles, and even pan if you can catch him. Bat is awful in his pressure. He'll always be dashing above you for overheads and crossups, and bat will whiff entirely. If you have meter, CA his pressure. Believe it or not, I've caught plenty of bangs in FRKZ with random mami's, but if you spam it without connecting, he'll start to attempt to make it whiff. His back dashes are weaker now, so he can still be caught, but be wary if he barrier blocks it. With meter you're safe, but if he makes if whiff you're shit outta luck.

2B is great for approaching Bang as it low profiles j.B and 5A/5B.

As Cirno said drives are not a problem for Plat but there is one thing he didn't cover, Bang using them as an anti air.

If you feel one coming you can j.2C jump cancel away or swallow moon so he whiffs.

IB his pressure as usual so its a free out or punish if he tries something risky.

2A>5B can be backdashed for some characters...plat is one of them iirc.

As for item usefulness I'll explain as usual.

Hammer: Good for mobility and its usual hammer goodness.

Kitty Bat: Its pretty good for keeping him still.

Missles: Ok but his high jump and 2 air dashes makes them easy to avoid.

Bombs: Bad on neutral, you will get 3C'd for it...don't use them in neutral.

Frying Pan: Useful as usual, good anti air when installed.

Bat: Good if you smell a command grab or want to force him to respect you.

Yeah, sorry, just realized that 5B's too slow (still used to punishing 623B on IB with Ragna that way). Oh yeah,TK Swallow Moon Bubble oki is a great way to bait Ashura and Daifunka on wake-up as long as you don't go for Instant Overhead. Just like everyone has been saying, IB his pressure, He'll crumble like Litchi.

EDIT: Just went to training mode, You can punish 623B on IB with 5C if you're close enough too.

Actually you can mash J.A on both DD's and she will whiff and fall, hell you can cancel into barrier and smile.

Too bad You can't really punish Ashura without IB or being really close.

The Nails of salt. They burn. Seriously, is there any favorable option that can be chosen for D nail? The blockstun on it is just enough usually for Bang to get in my grill and punch me in the face. also, is there any way to stop Bang from auto-guarding to victory or constantly pressuring you that I can do without DP bat AND stop the other player from being salty as hell? All of my friends do this and they don't think I have any legitimate arguments on the sole basis that Platinum is higher tier(the bad part is that yes, I do realize they are actually saying good things about Plat in a sarcastic manner.) I also need offensive options for when Bang uses gdlk defense and mix-up. Thank you sincerely.

I know Bang's like to try and cross you up, 2C that shit. However I haven't had much trouble with Bang mix-up, what seems to be catching you?

IB the nails, High jump back and double jump.

Plat can beat bangs 5A and 5B with her 2B alone.

Auto-guard for bang has very few benefits, just use 5A to confirm you hit the guard point then mash 2A.
