As for my P 0.02 regarding the ozine event:

- I don't think ma eexpect natin ang mga walk-in to want to participate in a tourney. Most of the tourney-goers would be people who already knew there was a tourney before-hand kaya sila sumali. Kung sabihin natin someone who just wandered into Ozine... malabo yun kasi why join and fork over money kung alam mong matatalo ka naman? Yung iba yun ang mentality.

- Rather than expect walk-ins to join the tourney, suggest ko na something lang to entice them to join future BBPH events. Magandang idea yung "tutorial" classes. Like a BB for noobs. Dun sila mas ma eenganyo sa tingin ko. More of ganun lang. Tapos contests and prizes to win a copy of BBCS or an arcade stick or something.

Anyways yun lang naman XD.

EDIT: how about this contest idea... for people new to the game, kung jaya nila i execute yung mahirap na combo sa character nila, they get a prize!

Ang iniisip ko sa prize eh yung staple naLaminated Keychain sa mga AniCon, BB style. ang kaso.. we has few artists, and the only one i think can pull this off is Mark, Michi, Aile or any of our artists (As of now, unless may uma-underground na artists senyo jan :3) . I'd love to help but i dunno how to make these stuff. Aside from that naisip ko rin na prize sana eh BBPH T-shirt. but its costly and requires me or anyone else interested to use brain cells on developing our own design.

so yeah, suggestions for low budget prizes would be awesomesauce.

And sa tourney, mag announce nalang tayo ng maaga na may tourney. everyone who joins should know for themselves that Joining means fighting regular players so di rin talaga naten handle na "oooh, masyado silang magaling eh" okaya yung scenario na "HAH! nag Top 4 ako last time sa Ozine~" since we're keeping track of data.

That said, we can't be perfect, but we'd be trying our very best to make our time at the con awesome and worthwhile~

plus, it's an awesome time to unwind~

Also, I have an idea with the shirt, after looking at my twitpic pics and saw this. We can make a much more simple design/ choose character with really simplistic deisgns (Pakumen, Arakune, Tao ) and manually print it on the shirt w/ silk screens. Sure it takes time , but who wouldn't love a shirt made with LOVE?

also the cost wouldn't be more than half of what gelo paid when he had the bbph shirt printed. I can borrow silk screens from my cousin (I believe she still has them) and the paint won't cost much I believe.

edit: I can think up of simple designs if anyone wants :o

alternatively, we can always use BBCS portraits /sprites and make shilloutes out of them and put text below that's relevant to their character (I.E, tager shirt with the text "POWER OF SCIENCE") in the back

Finally finished backreading everything about the con. Here are my comments about them.

@Aile about the English version:

Yes, it's available in the main site. The English version is right below the Japanese version.

@The tourney:

I discourage having tourneys with a "vet" in it. Well, if you're going for subs, I guess that's fine. But we might come across with some really new players (no knowledge of BB/2D fightans) at all. What we're trying to get here are new players to be interested in BB. We don't want them to think that "Oh, BB is actually a hard game." We can have some exhibitions for people to watch, yes especially for exposure, definitely but including vets in a tourney is another topic. It will somehow end up with vet vs vet depending on the people who join. No, I am not generalizing that all of the people who are going to join are bad players (outside of BBPH), but we're trying to let them have a feel of the game first, have their tries with another person with, hopefully, the same skill level as them. I'm not being a devil's advocate here but just giving out ideas that are in need of consideration.

@Transpo:

Since this is on Sept. 2-4 (including ingress), I highly doubt that I have classes at these days. So I'm willing to help in the transportation of equipment to the ingress so that it would be less of a hassle to the people bringing it there themselves. I would most likely be active for the entirety of those 2 days. :D

@Keychain idea:

I can start making some as early as now. But to further explain that idea, this is the main process of making laminated keychains.

(a) Draw keychains. Print them on thick paper (something like cardstock but with a glossier surface).

(b) Laminate them.

© Cut them out of the main laminate, but be sure to leave space on top.

(d) With the space on top you left, punch a hole.

(e) Insert keychain (you can just buy this at National and they don't go beyond 50 for 20).

These could be made even just at home with the right printer and a good lamination.

@Prizes:

I can't think of any other good ideas. A special tag would also work since it's cheaper and less time consuming than keychains.

That's about it atm.

I can also bring stuff if ever. :D

@vet-related thing:

Hmmm I'm thinking that the free-play /side event booth should cater more for the casual gamers who might want to join tournaments while the Sunday tourney (if we decide to go with it because we can actually go without one) will be leaning towards gamers who want a more fighting game setting (yung mga medyo seryoso). From experience, its the casual gamers that usually say that they wont join due to Aga Muhlachs. So i think targetting two types of target markets would work well for us.

@Mark:

I can bring Pete's ps3 on the 2nd or the 3rd, pero nagloloko yung AV cord so i suggest brining an extra one just in case D=

Suggestion:

-If we manage to borrow a projector I think we can hold a brief 'overview' session on what the different characters do.

-You guys wanna make a schedule for the 'bigger side events' like exhibition matches and stuff para informed yung mga interested people on what we have and at what time should they come? Tapos yung other side events pede siyang ongoing all day

Majority ng Display naten is LED/LCD, so HDMI ang gagamitin.

Isa lang yun sdtv, so wala akong nakikitang problem dun. Plus madami kaming surplus ng AV.

Magandang idea sana yun merchandise pero may confirmation na ba na pwede naten gawin yun ?
