I didn't have erasing 200+ in mind tbh. Just enough to put it back down to 249 or at least maintain that number for quite some time. Although that means cutting down more than 10 people with our current number. As for the ranbats, it was more common back in CS1, maybe because CS1 lasted longer than the current installments. CS2 lasted for barely a year and CSx is currently on its idk 6 month or something. I wanted something like, BBPH-only event where we would hold it on iPlay instead of a tied-up event with P2D. I'm not saying there's something wrong with this but it's just a headsup from me.

Oh cool. So that's what the talk on Katipunan was all about. This is my first time hearing about casuals there at Cubao so I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. I'm trying to balance out which one is more important sa forums. Ideally, lahat tayo active sa tatlo (DL, P2D, EC) but I think it's better that we start somewhere first. Then we slowly bring in the two forums. Getting used to the forums takes some time since FB, everything updated is there.

Sige. I'll count in Summer Salt as part of the ranbats. From what I observed lang ha, it's harder for them to come in because the regulars are closely tied and the level of our game is higher now compared to where we were nung CS1. It's a good thing, at the same time it's not. People kasi learn differently from each other, some learn from someone else, some people learn on their own. We'll try targetting each of these din so bring up some ideas.

It's difficult taking them off FB in just one day. So something steady would be good. We can start not posting almost everything there and link it to the forums nalang so that they can join the discussion. We won't see results like omg 40 of them started joining in less than a week (sana pede) but it's a steady process.

As for the BBPH combo, I was thinking na gawin na natin siyang forum activity. It will be our first forum activity for the members and let's make it na kahit magpost sila sa FB, wala din saysay. I'm just hearing out people's opinions on this before we can start anything. And yeah, funds are important. We can hold small fund-raiser casuals for this. I'm trying to look for a con I can go to and get an artist's booth there to sell the keychains dahil ang dami pang natitira. I'm selling them on my own accord but the division of the money is still the same as before. I'll think about this muna. But for now, we need to make fund-raising casuals.

People will then lose interest, blame Mori because he doesn't provide anything new for us. :T Or anything to hype about besides his last statement where BB3 will be released by this year (hope not), making CS2 the shortest installment evar. We should all agree when GC can take place, it can be your place or @iPlay's. Streaming monthly is a good idea and I think will be glad if their matches were recorded. If only we can bring them out of their cocoons...

SUMMARY AND STUFF WE NEED TO DO:

6. Let's start up hyping Summer Salt/Natsumon first and slowly but surely, at the same time plan na rin para sa GC so that there will be no conflicting schedules. Unless my sure date na para sa GC.

7. Open up IAD please. Sayang din ung mga nasulat na articles doon. :T And Sougo is going to contribute. We can advertise it on DL and places.

1. Season Extend Ranbats:

we could make "summer salt" a ranbat event, but that would probably be sudden for some of the members.

2. Groups Clean up

I would suggest to put our member limit to around 245 or just a bit lower than 249. Also, we should make announcement post on BBPH make a headcount thread on who is still active.

3. Forums

I guess we could use EC if we could manage it with our own BBPH members.

4. Casuals

We could possibly hold saturday casuals at least weekly on iplay/saltybox, since the place is more accessible for most of the members and Iplay's availability is not dependent on a member for example, terumi's dungeon or saltybox. This would at least possibly attract new members too.

Yeah, I mentioned that already. Like what I said, I stand corrected in that portion. I just hope that we should announce casuals at least 1 week before it happens. And yes, it is a person's choice if they want to attend or not but we should also do our part and motivate them to actually try it. They mostly don't go because (they scrub). There's only like 2-3 who come and just watch tbh.

Pro: Own forums with the help of Ares Santiago. Easier to manage. It looks less cluttered.

Con: It's on its own unlike P2D. Needs some fixing (imho).

P2D

Pro: It's tied up with other games. Showing how active we are there can put us at a better light. It's already made and it has its own character boards.

Con: It's cluttered making it harder to look at. P2D's format is a bit meh (my opinion).

Alright. Thanks for the casuals yesterday guys! I'm really happy with iPlay's new improvements (mostly because of that couch)! I hope that we can continue on with our casuals as time goes by.

So the first thing we're going to do is to promote the forum P2D which has been decided due to its already present state and the fact that it's tied-up with P2D. I'll have to send a letter of apology to Ares since he made one for us and we didn't get to use it. I've made a topic regarding the BBPH BBCSx Combo Exhibition project that we're doing and I'm encouraging everyone to take part so that the new people can take part as well. I strongly recommend avoiding shunning them away once they get to post.

Best warn you all first the following is awfully long, pardons in advance to those who would actually read this.

Actually I have a lot of comments about the community and it's status but I'd rather keep quiet for several reasons, two of them being that no one actually takes me seriously when I talk seriously (which is totally super rare) and it's such a waste in the end that you try to reason out with people who are too stubborn to actually listen.

There are some comments I'd actually want to share since it's practical and logical.

First, if you guys are having issues regarding information and etc I'd say a better way out is an active BBPH Page and forums.

Create or revive a BBPH facebook page for the sake of the facebook users. Keep the admins to a minimum. keep it professional (no fucking trolls or random shit cause it's annoying already). Double check and triple check if need be before posting important updates on the facebook page. Keep the facebook group for troll purposes because there are a lot of wacked out people in the group who love trolling. Redirect users from the facebook page to the active forum (wherever you guys put it don't really care at this point) for more information regarding posts and/or the community.

Stop bumping shit, because in all honesty, it's fucking annoying. The intention is good but seriously, if it's already at the top of the page or a little below don't keep bumping it -.-

The facebook page should be able to avoid spammer bumpers wherever, just have them share the official bbph fb page and/or post on their wall (over and over if you guys are even into that shit), that way it won't bother others on the group and it would be advertised to more people not just the people in the group.

Regarding the forums (wherever this is), please keep in mind that nearly everyone enjoys trolling. You can't stop people from posting crap and shit (especially if they are in a shitty mood or just plain retarded). Have a general thread for anything and everything, because the lounge surely won't work and people will just shit on the general thread and the lounge will be practically a ghost town.

Have organized Sub-threads. You can copy what dustloop did, have a specific thread for every character. It would surely avoid confusion.

Place casuals section and not thread. We don't want people to back read more than they have to just to find out about casuals. Let people create topics regarding specific casuals then afterwards, moderators should lock that finished topic after a couple of days (just so people have time to post their shoutouts and salt).

Have a multi-media section (Arts, Videos, etc.). This would hopefully avoid people from spamming pictures and shit on the general thread.

Encourage other players, put up an introduction section where people can post topics about themselves. Best place a sticky topic on the section listing the players like what's always on the front page of the BBPH dloop thread.

Lastly, if anyone actually wants more people to join and stay, I have a couple of things to say about that;

Be FRIENDLY not RETARDED.

Be OPEN not STUBBORN.

UNDERSTAND not just LISTEN.

Everyone has their own opinion, if you say the group is open to all then let everyone have a voice. Don't just decide out of nowhere just because a couple agreed with you. Be open to people and their opinions. You are open to critics after you post so don't just ignore/delete/fuck other people off just becaues you didn't like their opinion of YOUR post.

Please don't repeat what happened at LABANPAROOZA 2012. There were a couple of people who didn't know that it was a ranked battle. Others were just discouraged about it and decided not to join. If there is going to be a next ranbats it's best there be a poll regarding the tentative date/s of the next ranbats/tournament. And if a decision is made where the most voted/picked choice on the poll was not chosen, it would be much appreciated that there be a reason for not choosing the choice most preferred.

This is what I just have to say, for now that is. Remember, this is my opinion/choice. Like everyone here and on whatever group/forum is on, everyone has their own preference and decision to make.

About the forums and FB group, this is exactly what we're trying to do. The thing is people don't scroll down; they don't read that's why we're bumping. If we're receiving replies or at least see that they give a shit about what we're doing (besides regulars) then there's no need to bump. If you're talking about me constantly bumping my own post regarding the events, fine my mistake but like what I've explained, these people don't scroll down for some reason. We're trying to lock the FB group as of the moment, meaning only selective people can post and the rest can ONLY comment. If you've read my previous posts, I've already written down what we need to do and how we can do it.

Second, the forums is now situated at P2D hence my previous post regarding what we need to do to clean it up and look at least presentable. You should at least check the P2D forums first before this. EC was a suggestion brought up by one of your concerned members but we decided to outweigh the pros between the two forums and decided to stick with P2D in unison. I'm well-aware of trolling and whatnot that's why I'm asking for everyone's support and patience. Moving from what we were used to is difficult and like what Bert has mentioned, we have to start from ourselves.

As for Summer Salt, I'm cool with it being what, our first official ranbats? Unless you're going to count in LBZ, which is okay too. There's a reason why we decided to give out bookmarks to ANYONE who plans on joining the tourney back in LBZ. It's a sort of promotion for what BB is strong in compared to other fighting games; it's overall anime-look.

Ry is busy with work so I feel bad if I ask him to do it. I'll try making one but I have like, no confidence at all with poster-making; will do what I can. Besides that, we need more new people to post so I might start making an all-new introductory post with a format for them to abide with so that things get neater.
