I applaud everyone for making today possible. I'm so happy that the new players actually came to the event and we can see their efforts for this game. I also love how we had a somewhat one-on-one session with some of the new guys; great job to you guys as well! Some of them seemed to really have fun in the event, sayang nga lang aver was acting up a bit so we didn't get to record much. I'm trying to upload one match from my iPhone to see if that one's clear and good enough.

Overall, I would think this was a successful event for BBPH! Keep it up guys! Be sure to start hyping for Summer Salt and Natsumonogatari as I will be changing the banner sometime tomorrow or the day after (rushing another illust lol). CONGRATS TO DOC ERICK FOR CHAMP.

And feel free to post in P2D for shoutouts and whatnot. FB can used for it for now, but once we get the BB subforum cleaned, we'll be starting to post shoutouts and whatnot in the forums instead, is this good? It's to avoid cluttering but yeah, I'll leave it up to you guys to decide.

Kay guys, I'm back with words. Mostly we've done what we need to do so far, sad that only like 16 (?) joined Summer Salt. Then again, it was on Sunday and people were busy and stuff, let's work on making the numbers higher. c:

Things we've done:

1. Boot Camp + Summer Salt events.

2. Get hold of a sure booth + stage time in Natsumonogatari.

3. Consistent visit to DL and P2D.

4. Open up IAD. ♥

Things we still need to do:

1. Fix P2D forums. [Any news on this Gelo?]

2. BBPH Combo Exhibition video, dat secret project.

3. Natsumonogatari, promotion and stuff.

4. Planning for the future.

Kay, so we're done with two events so far and Natsumonogatari is just around the corner (May 19, 2012). The location may be quite disadvantageous especially to those who live all the way in the North. We can't do anything about that so we'll just idk, try to lure them out or something. Promotion and list of activities that we'll do would be great, would help us nail things down.

Fix P2D forums.

I've checked P2D and BB forums is still the same. Will wait for Gelo's reply on this as he talked (?) to BM about this and stuff. For people who want to contribute, please go ahead.

Video projects.

Are we still going for this? There are combos for some characters in P2D forums so myeah, wanted to know how this is going. Then again, we can first concentrate on dat secret project first before anything since we kinda started on it already.

Natsumonogatari.

I'll make a new banner for this hopefully with details and locations. Work your best on promoting guys! Also I was thinking na ganito ang lineup ng activities natin.

(a) Setting up. (9 am)

(b) Arcade (5p), casuals.

I suggest that someone brings a camera (my phone is more than ready to be one) so that we can take pictures of what we do and post it on P2D/IAD. I'm sure the place looks good (haven't went there lol) and it's a rare anime event, so might as well. Ry, I trust you as booth mascot. :Db I'll also be bringing the chains.

Future plans.

This is mostly regarding the bootcamp. I think it's a good idea to hold an event like this (more on 1:1 tutorials and whatnot) as something that happens at least 2x a month. Once a week might be a bit too much due to funds. If we keep holding tourney-like events, then people might be discouraged to go in the first place. Why travel so far if you're not going to play anyway? Idk if you guys are catching my drift but that's what I think at least, feel free to comment about this.

Is it a bit too early to schedule for another tourney? I think we need to build up the hype first. As of now, there are no announcements of BB3 coming out besides what Mori said that he plans on releasing it this year. We'll be attending another con at around September tho.

RE: Tourney-like events

I do not think that holding a lot of tourneys will hinder people to come. Mas maganda ngang mas maraming tournament ang gawin eh. Pera? If you're dedicated enough because for the love of the game and your competitiveness, you would save at least for the entrance fee. You could at least sacrifice by not buying bullshit stuff just to save enough for the entrance fee. Yeah bullshit stuff that has no purpose or puwede mo lang tingnan sa buong magdamag.

The problem is themselves. "Ay di naman ako mananalo e di hindi na lang ako pupunta." Ganyan naman diba? If I don't win that much I will just not go to casuals or tourneys. Ganyan ang mga mindsets ng mga tao. Kung ganun talaga wala tayong magagawa. Tingnan mo ang Japan, madalas sila mag-tournament diba? Marami pa ring napunta. Or at least we could look at other scenes in the country, Tekken, SF, Marvel, etc. Diba? Competitive kaya maraming napunta. Hindi yung babakla-bakla na maraming rason, ang kapal pa magmarunong at magsalita kung di rin naman magpakalalaki at lumaban sa laro man lang.

To sum it all, it starts from the players themselves. Do not look over other reasons.

Kung gusto, daming paraan, kung ayaw, putangina mo umalis ka na lang di ka importante.

yeah i also believe it's more of ung mindset problem ng tao na "takot" or "nahihiya" ksi feel nila "noob" sila msyado for the other players.

i think maganda ituloy lagi ung boot camp casuals where first part turuturuan ng tao + open up casual stations pag dumami na.

truth be told sobrang mura ng tourney fee ntin its the same as joining a casuals anyway, and people who "skip" casuals or tourneys end up going out for a gimick which would actually cost more, so i think ung "kulang ng pera" is a lame excuse, but sympre i know din naman may tlgang nahihirapan sa pera, but hey ung mga kilala kong gnun they still attend

ung 1:1 training method, last time ito ung nangyari, since EARLY pumunta ung gstong magpaturo gnawa ko 1 station tutorial 1 station casuals

nung dumami na gnawa kong 2 stations tutorial tpos 2-3 stations casuals, nung medyo sunog na utak ng nagpapaturo, pinacasuals na lahat HAHA
