L1F3 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 the P1 proration nerf on 2C... right now it's at 100 (its a godlike combo starter if you can land it....) any word on what it is after the changes..? i mean, aside from 236B and 236236D (both have 100 P1), nothing really can be used mid screen with meter to get at least 5k....

We could get over 5K from 5B and 3C midscreen if we have meter easily in CS2 and they only had a p1 of 90.

toanenadiz Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Toan do you still even play this game? we haven't played in ages :c I still play with friends offline. I haven't played BB online for awhile. Only really play when I get an invite to room. Otherwise I am playing AH3.
Hellknight10 Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 So I just realized that Soniti still has "Gravity Seed - Faster startup" on the loketest thread so do we have faster startup on it or is it still what DJNoLimitz translated and Soniti hasn't caught on to that yet
hakimiru Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I didn't look up what DJNoLimitz's translation was, but Soniti hasn't updated the main post since 9/1/11, so he's quite behind. Looking at the nantoka blog, it looks like the only change listed for gravity seed is still "shorter duration" (nerf) from the previous loctest.
MagitekElite Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 How badly did 236C get nerfed? Does 236C -> 5D still work?
KillerJawz Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 We're not exactly sure HOW hard the nerf is, but I'd imagine things like that would still work. I have worries for 236C > 5DD > 236C though :/.
MagitekElite Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Well if the nerf's on untechable time and not proration, then I'm assuming it should work if 236C 5D works.
KillerJawz Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I just meant the first part of that combo in general because we usually combo it into another 236C. So basically I don't think 236C > 5DD will work.
atdsutm Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 from the looks of the changes across most characters, it seems like they're removing very good wall carries that possibly lead to big wall damage. maybe we cant do a second 5DD>236C after the first 5DD>236C
someonewhodied Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I'm fine with the changes as long as you can still do her midscreen combos and she doesn't lose any gatlings.
BeaverDeity Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Yeah, as long as she stays relatively the same I won't have any complaints.
kenja0 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Character pressure nerfs and the buff to defense in the game will be the big factors this version. Her damage may suffer a bit, but not nearly as bad as other characters: she will remain mostly the same with a primer nerf to accommodate her buff to escaping pressure.
atdsutm Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAEhtShiaXg&feature=feedu combo @ 10:05 4DD>235B>RC>5DD>236C>dash>2DD>4B>j.C>J.2C>jc>j.DD>j.2DD we will be spamming that 2DD>4B in midscreen combos as expected. Edited October 7, 2011 by atdsutm
NC_PAIN Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I'm fine with the changes as long as you can still do her midscreen combos and she doesn't lose any gatlings. I'll be sure to experiment in Extend and try to come up with new combos like I always do for us Lambda players =3 but yea Lambda is looking interesting to use we should all be ok with her she doesn't like she's been changed up too bad
No Limitz Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) I haven't played the game in a while so bear with me if this was stuff that was the same in CS2 >_> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USIvG0OmMew&feature=feedu 3:07 Valkenhayn just kinda bounced off of 236D without getting pulled in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QCcu2GbGDI&feature=feedu 1:52 Can't tell if backdash got longer or got more invuln or just a really nicely timed backdash, there's another one late in that match. (Or maybe just Chuck Testa) Not sure if Yoshiki was just being fancy, but I noticed he hit some nicely spaced 214Ds that would've led to 5DD>236C but he didn't try them at all, 214D might've gotten nerfed? Meh, when I have time i'll comb bbs. Edited October 7, 2011 by No Limitz
toanenadiz Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USIvG0OmMew&feature=feedu 3:07 Valkenhayn just kinda bounced off of 236D without getting pulled in. Isn't that normal since he was on the ground and only got hit by the last attack of it? And CH 3C->214D looks nice, but I didn't see Yoshiki ever follow it up. I wonder what our optimal damage from that is.
kenja0 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Trying to confirm j.214D's lack of primer breaking properties in these videos, but they never do it. Guess that pretty much confirms it. So I'm guess there is almost no reason to commit to j.214D in blockstring without RCing other than possibly free damage.
toanenadiz Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFGfFiyRDSU At 1:20, you can see Tatsuki do a blockstring with j214D and it doesn't take a primer. Edited October 8, 2011 by toanenadiz
MagitekElite Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yINd1HPCL4E Screw you scissors
kenja0 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yINd1HPCL4E Screw you scissors Not as bad as Super counter or FoG. Don't think it's worth Ragna's meter unless Lambda has less than 2500 or corner opportunity.
germanturkey Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 so changes are looking good? from the video's i've watched, it seems like everything is pretty much the same, except a lot of people are throwing 4bs into the middle of combos..
