Zeron_X25 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Updated first post with CH and non-CH meterless midscreen combos. Please if you have combos to add here that are practical and commonly used in matches and I didn't list them here, send a message to my email with the list. Let me finish the combos for each section first and then we can add bits and pieces. I need to have the skeleton there first.
Zeron_X25 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Alright then. If you don't mind, just Skype chat or MSN me tomorrow or the day after and we'll talk about how to get this done and what's going to appear on the video.
Fluck Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 A lot of Hazama's combo starters go into the same thing, so I think a good way of presenting it would be to group those combos together. Something like [ 5B -> 236236B / CH 3C ] -> Zaneiga -> (66) 6C -> 66 5C -> 2C -> 6DA -> 4DA -> j.7DA blah blah. And in the video we just show all the starters going into Zaneiga or 6C and then show the full relaunch combo once after we've run through all the starters.

Zeron_X25 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 Updated first post with 50% meter combos midscreen and corner. I'll add more and add a note for each of them since there are lots of character specific issues that need to be resolved by tweaking the combos.
Guymam Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I don't understand. Why isn't relaunch listed in the midscreen meterless CH combos? What about a RC section?
Zeron_X25 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 I don't understand. Why isn't relaunch listed in the midscreen meterless CH combos? What about a RC section? I'm adding combos section by section. I'll get to RCs last because they're usually the creative ones and situational so I have to list the best possible starters and situations before posting them. Hazama can cancel into Houtenjin most of his normals so RC isn't part of his regular BnB. Also, I didn't list it because at first I was listing them beginner to advanced and then I figured I would color code that to avoid a mess. And then I sorta forgot. My bad, I'll add them now.
yashanyu1 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 so should we save our resources for cs:ex? or push forward with cs2's vid? As I don't see a lot of hype in this thread anymore :\
KayEff Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 try and finish the video if you guys do finish the video before CSEX comes out, you can always make an addendum regarding what's different with him in CSEX; at least that's my plan on how i'm going about it if you guys don't finish it by the time CSEX rolls around, you can still always edit the video. it's at least better than making a whole video from scratch.
Zeron_X25 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Push it forward before CSX. I've been busy with exams and school lately so sorry if I didn't have "hype". I'll try finishing the things we need for the video as soon as possible.

Zeron_X25 Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 dood no pressure from here, I just wanted to know the plan of action. Sorry if i came off a tad strong D: You've already done so much, so focus on dem books >:0 Not at all. I should always finish what I start. I'll try finishing at least 90% of the combo section tomorrow. I'll leave out any free-style combos and make a section for that so all you guys can post it and I just fill it in. I'll have to add character specific notes under each one though so that might take a while. I'll finish drives by the end of this week. I promise.
mikenapalm Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Should note that point blank 5A whiffs on Hakumen crouching. Not sure about Tager. Also 5A will hit Hakumen if he tries to D you. 6A is plus on hit. So if you throw it out there without meter and hit them you can frame trap with 2A etc. 6C will also eat most DPs as well as bursts if timed properly. Also drives are all special cancelable. 5D xx 236D is a very strong corner pressure tool. 5D xx 236C and 236236B are useful against sledge and other moves that Guard Point through drive. Maintaining pressure: Hazama's pressure is very linear and very prone to disrespect. I use a lot of short don't mash at me bro to make people respect my shit. 2A is going to be your center point. From here your possibilities are endless. Anti-mash strings: 2A 2C* 2A 5C* 2A 236C 2A 66 2A 2A 3C? (needs testing) ..6B 2A (range dependent) Gold burst 2A 5B 6B? (needs testing) 5B 6A? (needs testing) Deep 2B 236C * 2A j2147B (use meter to RC if blocked) 5B 5B ..5C iAD j2C 5D-D early jB (loses to proper anti air) 5D-A 5D-D (beats proper anti air) 3C delay 236D *stops jump outs as well be sure to hit confirm into the proper combo. Anti-grab strings: 2A 214D-A 214D-A 214D-A 214D-A j2147B 2A j2147B 2A j2C TRM set up: 2A 5A (whiff) 2A BC 2A 66 2A BC Tick command grabs: Deep 2A 236C jA 236C Deep 2B 236C Oki(after 214D-A knockdown): 2A (hits mashing) 6C (hits DP and burst) 5C (hits delayed tech/ roll tech) j2C (beats throw and mashing) 236C (lololololol) Oki (after j214b ender) 214214B (beats forward roll out of corner with Hotenjin. 5B beats back roll and delayed tech) 3C (beats forward rolls midscreen) J6D (beats back roll midscreen) Edited October 20, 2011 by mikenapalm
Zeron_X25 Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 6A is not plus on hit. wtf are you talking about? O__o
mikenapalm Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Means that if you hit them with it(read: they don't block it) you recover before they leave hitstun. Which is why you can combo off it on Tager and Hakumen with 5A. So if you hit them with 6A and then press 2A, and they try to mash you out they get hit.
ZeroRaider Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 6A is not plus on hit. wtf are you talking about? O__o Swing and a miss.
Zeron_X25 Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 I never knew it was plus on hit. Good to know I guess? But real men cancel into Jayoku on hit.
Zeron_X25 Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 OH YOU GAIISSS. Can you help me finish the combo section?
Dusty Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Unfortunately at the moment PNW's HDPVR is fried. BUT we should be purchasing another...soon....i think. But I'd be happy help you compile and write out the combos if that's what your asking.
Zeron_X25 Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Yeah when I said combos, I meant in writing. That would be greatly appreciated. I really want to finish this sooner but I keep thinking there are stuff that I'm missing.
Dusty Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 MAANNN. You guys don't have any corner combos yet, optimal meter gain combos, command grab combos, lower prorate starters etc. etc. So what do you guys consider important to add to the tutorial, then I'll add stuff to the combo section.
mikenapalm Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I never knew it was plus on hit. Good to know I guess? But real men cancel into Jayoku on hit. It's still okay to throw out once in a while without meter. You get pretty nice meter gain on hit for it and a pressure reset. Just make sure they don't block it. Lol
