I'll highlight the parts I screw up. 2A > 5B > 6B > 623C > 22D > 5C > input 2]D[ > jump forward j.B > j.C > (2D hits) > 236B > j.2C allecan > sj.B > j.2C > j.B > dj.B > j.C > 8D > j.2C > allegretto > 8D The timing right after Cantabile is so strict it's unbelievable (For me...anyway) And I can do the full set about 1 try out of 10. I do the teleport either to late or I screw up the actual input in time to land the 5C + 2D. It's driving me nuts as I really want to get this combo down. Could someone give me any tips/tricks/advice on how to 22D > 5C > 2D? At the minute I'm sacrificing all this glorious meter gain and damage and simply going into CON, Which I don't want every single time. I JUST WANT TO BE SWAG.
TD Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 try to get the 623c 22d part as early as possible. l would recommend doing just the two attacks as a way of practice. once you can do that a good few times, after 22d, continue to hold d, input 5c, j.b. immediately after j.b, press 2 and release d quickly and then j.c. the second bit. you want to press and hold d as you do j.2c, j.b, dj.b. like the 2d combo above, you want to press 8d immediately after the dj.b, and j.c normally after. l haven't gotten j.2c 8d allegretto part yet either. after the first 8d l just go for oki as the foe hits the ground.

Rishtopher Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Yes...feel our pain lol. I just tried stepping back into BB after a couple of months of just Tales of Graces and Skullgirls and I'm definitely out of practice. Feel like I have to start from the basics, it's pretty frustrating.

DAMN Dude i know that feeling, now in BBSEX that matchup is really tiresome. At least in Cs2 you could kill him with one hit, but in Sex the only safe UB that we have, is the one that consume at least 50% heat. I hate randoms counter....
Psykotik Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I find Anima surprisingly useful against Hakumen if not slightly gimmicky. One Anima setup that you could try is to do the standard DP-safe UB setup but instead of j.AA, jB+3D, just do j.AA, Anima for a D counter bait. Granted, I haven't tried this out in an actual match yet but I'm sure it'll get a lot of people.

I use Anima now and then in the Tager Matchup, other than that I never really touch it. I just abuse Fuoco Oki because Netplay is free to it. 5B JC'd into j.2C Allecan is monstrous haha, the damage / mixup you get off something that good is tarded'
sinder Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 anima in a tager match up is asking for ada to get killed as for haku, he is annoying in CON which is why i try to avoid it as much as possible, running away seems like the best option for this match up for me
TD Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 l really like anima and honestly dont see why it dosent get used often, in terms of conditioning the foe a certain way (like to jump at a particular time... and eat a brio). it reminds me of elizabeth's command grab from p4u
Rishtopher Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 I can't get any random stranger to get hit by anima but my friends will get hit by it if I'm in CNO. They'll literally run into it when they think they've caught me offguard. Otherwise I can sometimes get a hit in with it if my opponent in the corner in NCO. You can do it while you try to mixup for a bit and Ada's walking behind you. Once she's about to reach her max distance you can jump out and if you're lucky, you can either get a throw counter, or a pink throw where even if it doesn't hit, you have an easy out to restart some pressure. Admittedly, this has only worked twice, so it's not really a good strategy to use lol.

XP U should have told temp that,, but tbh =< iv found no use for it besides that, its like i mean he yella ANIMA!!!!!!! like a fucking tard so its kinda hard to to grab someone... & it takes alot of her HP just for it to be guard broken..... i say it needs to be un-techable for it to be useful & just make it cost 3000hp instead but hey.... i dont make the rules wow i said guard broken..... i ment balanced Edited June 1, 2012 by Akira-Shiro

Jin's DP loop, Hazama's 623D), they can't tech it since they'll get throw countered. Even then, anima's not your only option as brio and fuoco (careful with that one...) can also work. I also try to do that but, if Hakumen jump or spam one of his special moves with TK a motion it will beat Anima and is very probable that you will eat at least 3K dmg. What i also do is: that instead of doing 2]D[ + 6B, i do 623C (Cantabile) + 2]D[. Hell, when you learn how to do it properly it so damn funny. Very usefull if you mix it with Alledashing xD. Is like: Opponent: Nice! now Nirvana is in the corner, away from Carl! i will body him until i kill that motherfucker. Carl: Input a muted Volante Opponent: Eat this attack and die fuc$%$# Carl!!!!...... WTF!!! WTF!!!!!! i got hit by Volante!!! I DIDN'T HEART IT!!! Carl: Take at least 3k or more dmg and laugh inside xD

Also I thought Japanese players didn't play on 360? Guess I was wrong.
