Eclipse Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Hazama's new distortion looks amazingly awesome and stylish. Trolling, a modified back kick... epic. Did anyone notice the damage it did? It looked like a lot more than his other distortions, will probably be used as a viable combo ender. On a side note, I'm using Yu Narukami to hold me off until this hits consoles. (Probably next Summer)

In one of the videos I saw Hazama do 5A > 5A > 5B > 3C > Jayoku > 214D~C > 6C > dash 5C > j.C5, but it became invalid around the 1st-2nd j.C.

I've realized I don't actually like BB that much outside of playing Hazama so I might just get into GG instead, and then there's also Persona. It's way too early to tell though tbh, hopefully some of these changes are just trolling There's also the fact that as we get closer to release the hype train gets louder and louder... and I could always switch from fedora to top hat... not that I want to ;_; The only good changes we've seen are the new DD, overdrive which everyone has, and the stance dash. I believe I mentioned that the chains look slower in the test footage which would bug the hell out of me. There are already so few Hazama players, does Arc really want all 10 of us to just drop him? Anyways after all of this nerf sadness I'm going to spend some time in the lab and completely re-do the chains section in my beginner guide, which has always felt lackluster to me. Should be up later today. It'll be a long time 'til we see BBCP so yeah. Hazama ends up stronger than ever lol, these 'nerfs' are just 4 jokes (pls arcgods)
Gyokuran Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I don't gonna drop it, because as you say, i play BB almost like the same reason, i enjoy playing with Haz, and i don't play characters because "they are much betters" in that case i will play any top tier in any games, but don't like it at all. I play with this character because i like it (personality, gameplay wise and stylish <3), don't care is he is brainless or shit or etc, is because of loyalty I doubt that Haz gonna be shit, because his gameplay is totally made to be a fairly good character, even with some nerfs, i can see that almost any information about the loketest are almost totally nerfs, so we obviously can expect some good buffs between all this in the final project.

They would have to nerf the ever-loving hell out of his damage and even then he has the most annoying, braindead zoning and mobility in the game, with good normals and mix-up to boot. However, I think Guymam is trolling and just doesn't what anyone to play this character besides him, because only he can have Hazama as a husbando. Fucking hipster.

I just don't like his rushdown (and chains?!) being nerfed D: I remember early CS1 tier lists claiming him as low. He ended up being the best behind the top 2 (Litchi and Bang) Though a lot of characters are seeing similar nerfs. Guymam is boss tho, no jokes. I saw dude get 5th in a Persona tourney when he couldn't even play training mode. FFFFFF. Best SoCal Yosuke without a way to play the game, what. So there's definitely a long way to go before final judgement. It seems like they want to completely re-do Haz' combo style. As long as we end up okay damage-wise and mix-ups (5b and 5c wry) still good then I'll be alright. If they do nerf chain speed though, it's just like, why would you even make them fast to begin with D< Lots of things that I don't agree with but time will tell! Apologies for the saltiness, just want more Hazama players and not less. So I ended up too busy to do my chains mode. I'll get at that soon though, don't worry my chain scrubs.

I just want to see his final changes, so I can theorize.

In my country there are two Haz players =( @earlier: I definitely don't pick characters based on their tier status, I mean I do play Kanji in P4A... I picked Hazama before I even knew he was playable lol. As soon as I saw his design in CT I was in love. Of course one of his first lines is, "I'm not much for fighting" so I was really hype when I found out he was already a playable character in CS. Then I saw 5c for the first time and that was it. I didn't even think he was that good at first, but I stuck with him and eventually became a netplay beast w/ those chains. For me the most important thing in any fighter is actually "Does my main look badass?" Haz is by far a yes. @later: You'll have to rep him twice as hard then! Become the best and troll all the other players :D

Gyokuran Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Yeah, one of them is me hahaha, there are like...10 people that play competitive this game in my country, because the game is so ANIMU and they prefer playing some things with more "scene" like SF4 or Marvel. I don't care about if my character is top or shit tier, but i don't ignore it because it a good way to see matchups, how i can keep it up with good characters or awful characters, and between the process i'm learning and progressing my gameplay. That's almost the way that every people have to see that, much people tier whore thinking that they will win more if they pick top tier charas...PLZ
